Watercolor “without” lines

By | May 10, 2022

Happy Tuesday, hope you are doing well. It’s a beautiful sunny day here.

Today I have two cards that I’ve water colored the images, stamping the images using different ink for different looks.  Both cards use Shimmery White card stock, if desired you can use watercolor paper, Basic White may pill and is not suggested.

First:

the image is stamped using Jet Black Stazon ink then colored using water painters.

Second:

for a more watercolor painting look, I’ve used Smoky Slate ink. Ink up your stamp, stamp off on scrap paper first, then on the paper you want to watercolor on. The image should be super light, providing just enough image for you to see to color.

Hints: When water-coloring I like to tap a clear block into my ink pad then use the ink on the block to “color” the images. You can also use drops of reinker if you prefer. Stazon ink is best cleaned off your stamp after each use with Stazon cleaner, specially made for the ink.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope these projects have inspired you to try paper crafting. Should you decide to place an order for Stampin’ Up! products, I would appreciate your business.
