Calming Camellia Stamp Set

Hi there, how was your weekend?  Do anything special? We watched some hockey and football, while enjoying some homemade soup.

Last Sunday one of my Sunday Stampers asked about a card in the Sale-a-bration brochure made with the Calming Camellia Stamp Set. The stamp set is free during Sale-a-bration to the host with a $300 order or a personal order at that value.

Today I thought I would share with you how to make that card.  Below is a card like the one in the brochure using Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie.  There is a project sheet at the end of the post for you to download if desired.

Here is another example using Soft Succulent card stock and Evening Evergreen ink.

Sentiment on the card above is from the Special Moments Stamp Set (Sale-a-bration Level 2 item).

My card uses plain vellum which is what I have on hand and card in the brochure sample uses the new Vellum 12″ x 12″ Layering Designs card stock.

Catching Butterflies

Happy Saturday, hope you are doing well, it sure is cold here in Pittsburgh!

Today I have a bright and cheerful card for you featuring the Catching Butterflies Cling Mount Stamp Set, one of the level 1 – $50 item from the January-February 2022 Sale-a-bration brochure.

Here is how I made the card:

  • Stamp the image on a Scalloped Contour Die with Memento Black ink
  • Stamp mainly the dress image on designer series paper and cut it out with the paper snips
  • Adhered dress to the main stamped image, so she has a fancy dress
  • Butterflies are colored using a variety of Stampin’ Blend Markers
  • Once the image is colored, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere to Designer Series Paper
  • Designer Series Paper – 4″ x 5¼” and 1″ x 4″
  • Sentiment from Many Messages Stamp and die cut with coordinating die, adhered with Stampin’ Dimensional
  • Pastel Pearls add some bling to the card

Using the “Sending Happy Thoughts” greeting can be used for a variety of occasions!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope these projects have inspired you to try paper crafting. Should you decide to place an order for Stampin’ Up! products, I would appreciate your business.

Daffodil Daydream Fancy Fold

Today I have the final installment of the cards I’ve made using the Daffodil Daydream Bundle and coordinating Daffodil Afternoon 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper for a Slim Fun Fold card.

Here’s my first sample card I made with two Daffodils and a greeting from the bundle. Both cards have coordinating envelopes using the designer paper you can get for free with the purchase of the bundle.  Don’t you just love free designer series paper!

Measurements for the card:

  • Mat (either 2¾” x 5½” (card above) or 2¾” x 5 1/2″ (card below)
  • Main card – 2¼” x 11″, scored at 5½”, adhere directly to the mat
  • Designer Series Paper – 2″ x 5¼” (need 2 pieces, one for outside and 2nd for inside bottom)
  • Basic White or Very Vanilla for inside greeting – 2″ x 5¼”
  • Decorate front as desired, just make sure not wider than 4¼” or taller than the card

Next is the second card I made, this time using the wider base mat.

Here is how I decorate the inside top portion of the card.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope these projects have inspired you to try paper crafting. Should you decide to place an order for Stampin’ Up! products, I would appreciate your business.

Daffodil Daydream Bundle – part 2

Happy Tuesday!  How about some additional card idea’s using the Daffodil Daydream Bundle.

Featured Products this Month:

  • Daffodil Daydream Bundle – #157795 – $54.75
  • Daffodil Afternoon 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper – #158127 – Sale-a-bration Level 1 – $50 Item

Thought you might enjoy some additional cards made with these products.

First up are some easy cards using the designer series paper as the main focal point.  The one on the left is embossed vs. the one on the right.

Next, I’ve used the Basic Border Dies on the designer paper and colored the stamped/die cut images with Stampin’ Blend Markers.

Here I’ve used the Daisy Lane Stamp set for the daisy’s and coordinating punches on the flowers, thought they went nicely with the designer paper. Sentiment on this card is from the Special Moments – level 2 Sale-a-bration $100 item.

For interest don’t forget to add designer series paper to the flap of your envelope.  Adhere a 2½” x 6″ piece of DSP to the flap, then use your paper snips to cut off the excess. When doing this, I like to use liquid adhesive and add it to the envelope flap, not the paper.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope these projects have inspired you to try paper crafting. Should you decide to place an order for Stampin’ Up! products, I would appreciate your business.

January 2022 Sunday Stamper Cards

Today my Sunday Stampers will be meeting for the first time this year and I thought I would share the cards we will be making with you.

Featured Products this Month:

  • Daffodil Daydream Bundle – #157795 – $54.75
  • Daffodil Afternoon 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper – #158127 – Sale-a-bration Level 1 – $50 Item

First up is a fun fold card using the Daffodil Daydream Bundle. I’ve used greetings on this card from the Special Moments Stamp Set, a level 2 $100 item from the Sale-a-bration brochure.

Next, is a picture of the inside of the card.  I’ve used Mossy Meadow ink on this sample and Stampin’ Blend Markers to color in the flower and stem gently so the colors did not bleed.

Who says ladybugs needs to be red?  How about some Flirty Flamingo one’s

Finally is a card where we used Foam Shaving Cream to create the background with Re-inkers and Masks. Each card will look different and the color combinations are endless.

Daffodil Daydream Bundle

Today, my favorite day of the year, my birthday!

It’s also my friend’s Cindy’s birthday!

In honor of our birthday days, I’m featuring my favorite bundle from the new January – June 2022 Mini Catalog, Daffodil Daydream.  During the Stampin’ Up! Onstage Event in November, when I saw some die cut Daffodils on a table I was hoping they would be in the new catalog and they are!

One of the Level 1 Sale-a-Bration items – Daffodil Afternoon 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper coordinates with the bundle. I’ve used one of the patterns below.

Card specifics:

  • Pear Pizzazz card stock for the card base and stems
  • Flirty Flamingo and Mango Melody card stock for the Daffodils
  • Brushed Brass Butterflies for embellishments
  • Flirty Flamingo Metallic Ribbon
  • Greeting from the Sentimental Swirls stamp set (another favorite item)

I’ve even taken a 2 3/4″ x 6″ piece of the designer paper and adhered it to the flap of the envelope.

Order your Daffodil Daydream bundle today, January 20, 2022, and receive a surprise in the mail from me.

New Horizons Suite

Happy Wednesday, how has your week been so far?  We’ve had a few exciting days. Saturday night we lost electric in a few rooms of the house (including the living room) and with the Steeler game Sunday night and snowstorm Monday (we received about 8″ of snow) wondered just when we could have the electrician come to the house.  Extension cords helped get the television running Sunday and we were lucky enough to have an electrician come Monday we are all powered up again.

Today’s card is one I created for a challenge using:

  • Die Cuts – Horizon Dies, part of the On the Horizon Bundle
  • Favorite Color – Blues
  • Designer Series Paper – New Horizon’s 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper

The mountains are two parts – a solid mountain range and second a detail die to add snow caps to the mountain tops.

Below is a peek at the inside of the card. I’ve stamped the foliage and birds on the bottom and added a Happy Birthday greeting on the top half of the sheet of Basic White.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope these projects have inspired you to try paper crafting. Should you decide to place an order for Stampin’ Up! products, I would appreciate your business.

All Things Fabulous

Happy Friday!

First let me say today, January 14th, is a big day, this is my 1,500-blog post – I’ve been blogging since February 2, 2014! That’s an average of 187 posts per year!

Today I’m featuring a card I’ve made for a “Simple Card Challenge”. The card is made with ink, stamps and paper – no die cutting, embossing, punches or ribbon on the card. I have added some Brass Butterflies, floating around the flowers.

Images on the card is from the All Things Fabulous Photopolymer Stamp Set with 2 or 3 step stamping to complete most images.  Sentiment is from the Special Moments Photopolymer Stamp Set. a level 2 $100 Sale-a-bration item, yours to pick from with a $100 USD product purchase.

Card Basics:

  • Card base – 4¼” x 11″, scored at 5½”
  • 2 pieces of card stock 2″ x 5¼”
  • Basic Black card stock mat – 2 5/8″ x 4 1/8″
  • Basic White card stock for stamping – 2½” x 4″

Faux Step Card

Need a card idea for those January birthdays? Today’s Faux Step Card is perfect for you.  The nice part of the card is that the die cut on the center portion can overhang, just so it’s not wider than 4¼”.

While I can’t take credit for the design, I saw fellow demonstrator Cindy Brumbaugh make the card, I’ll share the measurements with you.

Measurements and card basics:

  • Card Base – 4¼” x 9″, scored at 1¼” – 2½” – 5¾”
  • Card Base Designer Series Paper – 1″ x 4″ and 3″ x 4″
  • Middle Center piece – 2½” x 8½”, scored at 5½”
  • Center Designer Series Paper – 2¼” x 5¼”
  • Basic White card stock for sentiment on inside – 3″ x 4″

Next is the side view of the card. Tree is made from three layers of card stock – Misty Moonlight, Old Olive and Basic White for depth. When adhering together, I did not worry about the layers matching perfectly, as it adds to the look of depth.

Greeting on the front is from the Artistically Inked Stamp set and layered on Rectangle Stitched Dies.

Final here is the view from the back, I’ve added designer paper, 3″ x 4″ – which helps cover where the center piece is adhered.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope these projects have inspired you to try paper crafting. Should you decide to place an order for Stampin’ Up! products, I would appreciate your business.

Sentimental Swirls

Today I’m featuring the Sentimental Swirls stamp set, item #157996 – $22 USD, from the new January-June 2022 Mini Catalog.

Details on the stamp set:

  • Stamp set inspired by Million Dollar Sales Achiever Sam Hammond
  • 27 photopolymer stamps, some are Two-Step stamping
  • Flower images coordinate with the Strawberry Builder and Flowers & Leaves Punch from the annual catalog

For both cards, to ensure I good image, I used my Stamparatus, stamp positioning tool, to stamp the large swirl.

On the first card, all images are stamped in Memento Black, then I used Magenta Madness, Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green and Pale Papaya ink on the solid stamped images. Matte Black Dots have been added to the center of the flowers.

For the card below, I stamped the outline flower image on scrap paper in Memento Black ink, then with Poppy Parade, Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green ink for the solid stamp image before punching them out. Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals are between the layered flowers and a Matte Black Dot is in the center of each flower.

Today I have some additional cards using:

  • Friendly Hello Stamp Set + Friendly Hello 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper

First card uses three pieces of designer paper, taped together on the backside, stamped images using Memento Black ink, separated the 3 pieces then added to a Shaded Spruce card base. Pale Papaya Vellum die cut and greeting stamped in Shaded Spruce ink on Basic White card stock – I used a Post-it note to mask of the word friend, wiping away any ink missing, before stamping.

It’s cool that some of the images from the stamp set coordinate with images on the paper – I stamped in Memento Black ink.

Finally, the last card uses a Basic Border Die with the designer paper, images stamped on coordinating Fresh Freesia card stock and a Hippo & Friends Die cut for the stamp images. Card base is Basic Gray with a heat embossed greeting.

Some of the additional products used on my Friendly Hello cards:

Friendly Hello

There are so many wonderful products in the new January – June 2022 Mini Catalog, including the Daffodil Daydream Bundle, Honeybee Home Bundle and so many more.

Today I’m featuring one of my favorite Sale-a-Bration items:
  • Friendly Hello Stamp Set + the Friendly Hello 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper
  • #159990 – FREE with a $100 (USD) purchase.

Colors in the designer paper include: Basic Black, Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Green, Petal Pink, Pool Party and Shaded Spruce.

Here are some cards I’ve made using these products:

The first card uses a 4″ x 12″ piece of the designer paper for the card base. The ribbon however is retired from the fall mini catalog, so if you don’t have that ribbon, the Pool Party Sheer Ribbon – #152462 – $6.00 could be used.

Layering Circle Dies help feature the bird stamp.

Next, I’ve actually used Pale Papaya for both card stock base and ribbon, I thought it paired nicely with this piece of designer series paper.

Finally, a white heat embossed greeting on Basic Gray card stock die cut with a Hippo & Friends die, with a Vellum card stock scallop rectangle and some Petal Pink ribbon complete the final card today.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope these projects have inspired you to try paper crafting. Should you decide to place an order for Stampin’ Up! products, I would appreciate your business.

How I put the card together:

  • Fold up at the 10½” score mark and adhere

Embossed Die Cuts = Cool Image

Happy Sunday!  I’m participating in an online craft retreat and this week we had a challenge to create a card using a minimum of two embossing folders – this sure sounds easy, but I wanted to do something special – so today I’m sharing my card with you.

Card stock colors top to bottom:

  • Blackberry Bliss
  • Bermuda Bay
  • Pool Party
  • Granny Apple Green
  • Daffodil Delight
  • Mango Melody
  • Poppy Parade

Happy 2022 !

Happy New Year!

May 2022 bring you good health, happiness, success, love and blessings!

Today card features:

  • Plenty of Patterns Decorative Mask
  • Blending Brushes
  • Merry Merlot card stock and ink
  • Biggest Wish Photopolymer Stamp Set
  • Playful Alphabet Dies and Adhesive Sheets
  • Garden Gems and Adhesive Backed Stars

For today’s card taken a piece of Basic White card stock and using one of the masks, added color to the bottom right corner. Next I stamped and fussy cut out the word “Happy “, which I added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Playful Alphabet Dies include numbers which I used to die cut 2022. A piece of adhesive sheet was added to make the numbers easier to adhere to the card front. Next added are Garden Gems and Adhesive Backed Stars for some bling and I used the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to flick some spots on the card front.
