Crazy Paper Cut Cards

Happy Friday!  How was your week?  Our week started out with upper 60 degrees and sunny, Wednesday it snowed and now we are working our way back up into the 70’s next week.

Today I have three cards for you featuring a cutting layout I learned from my friend Ann and thought I would share it with you, it’s a great way to use your designer paper you have or even create your own.

Cards basics:

  • Piece of Designer Series Paper 4″ x 5¼”
  • Cut paper diagonally top to bottom, trim off ¼”
  • Cut paper diagonally left to right, trim off ¼”
  • Adhere to mat 4″ x 5¼”

Here is the first card I made using the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper teamed up with a greeting from the Happy Thoughts stamp set.

Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper teams with an embossing folder gives you a linen look, perfect for a sympathy card or any of the messages from the Many Messages Bundle. Don’t forget to add some Elegant Faceted Gems for sparkle, who doesn’t like sparkle!

Why not use one of your favorite stamp sets to create your own designer paper to use. I’ve used the Pretty Perennials stamp set with some bright & cheerful colors for the card below.  Banners are from Hippo & Friends dies.

Days to Remember

Today in honor of the birthday of one of my Sunday Stampers, I have a Sneak Peek of a new stamp set from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog that starts May 4th, Days to Remember.

Days to Remember Photopolymer stamp set has a perpetual calendar, which means you can stamp any month you want you just need to know what day of the week the month starts. Another cool feature is that the columns you need to ink on the image match the width of a Stampin’ Up! ink pad – how cool is that. The stamp set, #155026 –
$17.00 USD, has 26 pieces, which includes name of each month, sentiments and images.

Not only is the stamp set new, I’m featuring products from the new Hand-Penned Suite and three new In-Colors, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen.

So what do you think of the card? Look forward to a few more sneak peeks in the coming days.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope these projects have inspired you to try paper crafting and I would appreciate your business.

April Sunday Stamper Cards

Hi there, hope you are all doing well.

This morning my Sunday Stampers will be meeting and we will be making three projects and a bonus take home project for a masculine version of the Kangaroo card.

The products featured today include:

  • Hippo Happiness Bundle #154080
    • Hippo Happiness Photopolymer Stamp set – #152644
    • Hippo & Friends Dies – #153585
  • Kangaroo & Company bundle from the 2021 January – June Mini Catalog – #156269
  • Dandy Garden Memories & More Cards & Envelopes – #154301
  • Dandy Garden 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper – 154297
  • Ladybug Trinkets – #154299

Our first card combines Dandy Garden products along with two stamp sets from the annual catalog – Painted Poppies and Peaceful Moments.

Next is a Pocket Fold Card that holds a card or even a gift card and is super easy to make. Instructions for the card on in the downloadable project sheet at the end of this post.  When designing this card I had today’s host in mind, as she loves to color – the ladies will have the choice of Stampin’ Blend Markers or Watercolor Pencils.

How about a masculine version for that favorite guy in your life using the Well Suited Designer Series Paper.

Last we have a fun fold card using the Hippo Happiness Bundle. The dies with the bundle are amazing, there are three different frames, in three different sizes!

When you add the inside piece, make sure to use the front panel to line up so that it’s hidden when you are looking at the front of the card.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope these projects have inspired you to try paper crafting and I would appreciate your business.

A couple retiring favs

Today I am featuring a couple cards made with some of my favorite retiring stamp set.

The first card features the Waterfront Photopolymer Stamp set – perfect to create the photo of your choice. I’ve teamed the “photo” with a mitered corner frame made from designer paper that lays flat on your card front.

The card below features the Floral Essence Photopolymer Stamp set and coordinating Perennial Flower Punch. For the flowers I stamped on designer series paper and the sprigs are also punched out of designer series paper, this looks adds texture to your project – so what designer paper can you stamp on?

Step Panel Card Samples

Hard to believe it is April 1st and Easter is three days away.

How about some bright and cheerful Step Panel Card samples today using the retiring Purple Posy Card stock for the base.

The first card features the Hydrangea Hill 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, this card turned out so pretty it just needs a greeting and bow added to finish.  For writing on the card, I’ll cut a piece of Basic White card stock 4″ x 4″, stamp and write as desired then adhere to the card.  Once folded the card fits in a Medium Basic White envelope.

Side view of the card.

Step Panel Card basics:

  • Card base – 4¼” x 9¼”, scored at ½”, 1¾”, 3¾” and 5″
  • Decorate the card base before adding the front panel, fold and add with Tear & Tape on the ½” fold
  • Front Panel – 3″ x 5″, scored at ½” and 1¾”
  • Decorate then add to card front at the bottom and at the ½” fold

For my second card I’ve used the Playing with Pattern 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper along with the Zany Zebra Cling Mount Stamp set. When making this card I cut the paper incorrectly and just altered the front panel to make it work.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope these projects have inspired you to try paper crafting, I would appreciate your business.
