Embossing folder technique

Hope your week has started off well.

Today I thought I would share a technique with you using the Layered Florals 3D embossing folder.

Here is how the technique works:

  • Using a 3Dembossing folder, emboss a piece of Basic White card stock the size you desire (I’ve used 3¾” x 5″)
  • On the “debossed” side, one with the intents, use Stampin’ Blend Markers to color the debossed images. Sponge daubers can also be used for this step.
  • Once you are done with coloring the images, gently swipe a darker color ink pad over the card stock and watch the magic happen! Keep swiping until you have the desire outcome.
  • Memento Black or Night of Navy ink are both good choices for the color to swipe with

Finally, to finish the card card stock was added to a Basic Black mat then an Azure Afternoon card stock base. Azure Afternoon oval punch out and sentiment from Best Family Ever Stamp Set.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope these projects have inspired you to try paper crafting. When you decide to place an order for Stampin’ Up! products, I would appreciate your business.

Card showing both sides of DSP

Happy Saturday, it’s a rainy morning here. Hopefully the rain stops soon.

Looking for an idea that designer series paper you have? Today’s card is for you.

Card specifics:

  • Card stock base – 5½” x 5½”, score at 1¾”
  • Front panel of Designer Series Paper – 4″ x 5¼”
  • Two strips of coordinating Designer Series Paper – 1″ x 5¼”
  • Basic White or Very Vanilla for inside – 4″ x 5¼”
  • Stamp set & Embellishments of your choice.

Front panel of the designer series paper is added to the inside of the 1¼” folded piece of card stock.

First, card uses Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper and the Circle Sayings Bundle.

Here is the inside of the card. Add the strip of designer paper to the inside either before or after you add the Basic White piece. Might want to add the inside piece first, leaving the same border around the top, bottom and outside edge. Use that to help adhere the front piece of designer paper to the underside of the scored piece. This way you know the inside is covered.

Next, Rock & Roll Designer Series Paper and the Good Feelings stamp set for the win!

Finally, Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper and the Playing in the Rain stamp set was used for this card. The bear on the front was fussy cut out and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
