Social Distancing & Sale-a-Bration

Since we are now sheltering at home and practicing social distancing, I thought I would share a few cards with you featuring Sale-a-Bration stamp sets and perfect to send to the people you are missing right now!

We are getting close to the end of Sale-a-Bration, March 31, 2020, so if there are any items you want to stock up on and get free products for every $50 you spend, before tax/shipping, now is the time to do some shopping.

The first card I’m featuring I’ve seen made using a variety of stamp sets along with the SAB Gang’s all Meer Stamp Set. I started with the next to largest Stitched Nested Label Dies in Whisper White card stock and stamped the single Meerkat on each end, next I took my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker and a ruler to draw a line between them, adding arrow marks at the end finishing with a 6 ft. in the center. Greeting is from the Rise & Shine SAB Stamp set in Granny Apple Green.  Card base is Crumb Cake and I’ve used the SAB items Flowering Foils & So Very Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper, and don’t forget the super cute party hats!

In looking through the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper, I came across a design in two different colors and thought about what I could make with them, then I saw the SAB Rise & Shine stamp set on my desk and thought this would make a great card to let someone know you miss then and look forward to hanging out again with them soon.

Both cards feature a Purple Posy card base, the 3rd color in the designer paper, along with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. The first card is Lovely Lipstick and Petal Pink. The cups where stamped then die cut with the Cup of Cheer Dies, making sure each had a handle facing a different direction.

Here is the 2nd card made with a piece of the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper, this one features Pretty Peacock and Mint Macaron along with Purple Posy.

The final card for today also features the Rise & Shine stamp set. I’ve used a Basic Gray card stock base and stamped images all around the edges in Basic Gray ink for a tone on tone look. The cup was stamped in Crushed Curry, I’ve just reinked my stamp pad the ink had not yet dispersed evenly before I stamped the image so I have a tie dye look, which is just fine with me!  The “heart” on the greeting banner is actually the leaf from the stamp set, stamped to look like a heart. Finishing touch for the card is a Crushed Curry Seam Binding bow.  Don’t forget to stamp a cup on the inside (you can see a tiny part on the bottom left).

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope these projects have inspired you to try paper crafting. Have a great day – Craft On!

Bonanza Buddies and YouTube

It’s a big day for me today, Monday, March 23rd – I created my very first YouTube video – there is a link to it below. I’ll be the first to admit it’s not perfect and I still have a lot to learn, but it’s a start, yeah !

Normally around this time of the month I take a few vacation days from my day job so my husband and I can celebrate our anniversary, 32 years this year, with dinner out and some day trips. With Covid-19 and staying at home, I still decided to take my days off and use them for some crafting.

The card I made in the video features the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper and Bonanza Buddies Stamp set. Currently the coordinating dies are not available, while they are nice to have, the stamp set is great on it’s own – I’ve teamed it up with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies from the 2020 Mini Catalog.

Here is it, my very first YouTube video!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope this project has inspired you to try paper crafting. Have a great day – Craft On!

How about some coloring?

You are never to old to color and today’s project shows you just that!

Today’s project feature similar card designs, colored with different tools and frames you might remember from the 2019 Holiday Catalog – Ornate Frames, a carryover item.  The paper colored is the newly added “Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper” a Sale-a-bration item you can choose with a $50 order, while supplies last.

The first card I’m sharing features  coloring from Watercolor Pencils, softened with an Aqua Painter filled with plain old tap water. I’ve used the Melon Mambo & Granny Apple Green watercolor pencils, gently color the images and run your Aqua Painter over to blend the colors even more. Crumb cake card stock and ink, along with 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon and Rhinestones.

The second card I’m sharing features the colors Mint Macaron & Highland Heather and uses Stampin’ Blends, which are alcohol markers.  The card base, Mint Macaron, was run through my Big Shot using the Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder for added texture before added the mat.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope this project has inspired you to try paper crafting. Have a great day – Craft On!

Do you have the Bonanza Buddies Bundle – the Bonanza Buddies Photopolymer Stamp Set and Bonanza Dies?

Looking for a fun tag to add to a gift? Why not a shaker tag!

It’s simple,

  • die cut 2 tags from the Bonanza Dies

  • add adhesive foam strips on the edges of the  backside of the tag you added the window sheet
  • fill with sequins

The first tag is made using Bermuda Bay card stock, a Toucan from the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper die cut using the Bonanza Dies and if you  where lucky enough to get the Metallic Bakers Twine and Sequin set.

Additional cards using the Country Club Suite

Yesterday my Sunday Stampers used the Country Club Suite for one of the projects, today I thought I would share two additional card items using this product suite.

First is a Z-Fold Card with the Night of Navy card stock base.

The base is what I call a ‘standard Z fold base”, card stock  4.25″ x 11″, scored at 2.75″ and 5.5″, the 1″ x 11″ piece is scored at 5.5″ and 8.25″.

Here is a side view of the card that shows all the different papers and die cut images used for the card.

Here is another card featuring designer series paper as the card base with stamped and die cut golfer and ball on a tee.

Inside of the card features circle with die cuts on the left and right has a mat of Night of Navy with Whisper White piece for stamping. The greeting under Happy Birthday was stamped first in Night of Navy ink, then again on scrap paper in Poppy Parade – then “Greatest Guy” die cut with matching die and adhered over the Night of Navy.
