Flowers of Friendship Bundle

Happy Saturday, today I’m featuring the Flowers of Friendship Bundle that includes the Flowers of Friendship Stamp Set and the Flowers & Leaves Punch.

Create elegant handmade cards with the 10 piece Flowers of Friendship Clint Mount Stamp Set. The flower imagery of the set mixes simplicity and elegance. It’s perfect for different coloring and stamping techniques. The set includes beautiful thank you and friendship sentiments that will make anyone’s day!

The Flowers & Leaves Punch helps you create unique flowers that will elegantly dress up your cards. The punch includes flowers and leaf shapes that you can use as you please. Mix them together or layer them up to create a variety of flowers that will embellish any of your projects.

Card Recipe:

  • Crumb Cake card stock base
  • Pattern Party Designer Series Paper (DSP) – 3″ x 4″
  • Emboss DSP with Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder
  • Stamp, color and punch out three flowers (both sizes) and lots of leaves

Flowers are adhered with Mini & Regular size Dimensionals and Matte Black Dots finish the card.

For the sentiment, I stamped Happy Birthday on a 8½” long ½” wide piece of Basic White and then wrapped it around the DSP unit before adhering to the card base with liquid glue.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope these projects have inspired you to try paper crafting. Should you decide to place an order for Stampin’ Up! products, I would appreciate your business.

Biggest Wish – Hello Friend

Today I have a fun card using Designer Series Paper for the front.

Card basics:

  • Card base 5½” x 8½”, scored at 4¼” on the 8½” side
  • From the card front side, cut off 3¾”
  • Cut piece of Designer Series Paper 4″ x 5¼” for front
  • Cut piece of Basic White card stock 4″ x 5¼” for inside
  • Stamp inside Basic White card stock as desired and adhere to the inside of the card
  • Adhere Designer Series Paper to the front (having the inside done first helps line up the front
  • Wrap around ribbon and tie a bow

For the card I’ve used one of the scalloped rectangle dies from the Scallop Contour Dies, part of the Color & Contour Bundle for my sentiment. I’ve trimmed off the scalloped edge on the left side and tucked under the ribbon and secured the bow with a glue dot.

Here is the inside of the card. The outline image is stamped in Mint Macaron ink and the flowers in Pale Papaya, Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight & Mint Macaron.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope these projects have inspired you to try paper crafting. Should you decide to place an order for Stampin’ Up! products, I would appreciate your business.

Soft Pastels

Today I thought I would share another technique you can use with Stampin’ Up!’s new Soft Pastel chalks.

Use your Take Your Pick tool and the spatula end to scrap your pastel chalk on a scrap piece of paper or silicone craft sheet to create chalk dust, then use Sponge Daubers to color the stamped image.  I have one dedicated dauber for each color – Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy and Poppy Parade.

Here is the basics for the card:

  • Use your Stamparatus (stamp positioning tool) to first stamp the image on scrap paper full strength, then 2nd generation on your good Basic White Card stock piece.
  • DO NOT remove the stamp from the Stamparatus
  • Color your image using Sponge Daubers
  • Clean the stamp, ink up with Memento Black and stamp the image over the chalk coloring, this makes the image “pop” off the page!

The first sample uses the Daisy Garden stamp, along with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green card stock.

For this sample I’ve used the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle, along with Highland Heather card stock and ink.  Stamp set for greeting, is a new fav, Biggest Wish Photopolymer Stamp set.

Daisy Garden Watercolored

Hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend.  While the weather was a little cooler on Saturday (mid 70’s), I did get into the pool for about one hour, when again on Sunday when temperatures hit around 80 degrees.

Featured products:

  • Daisy Garden Stamp Set
  • Watercolor Paper & Water Painters
  • Basics Embossing Powders
  • Pool Party card stock and ink
  • Many Messages Stamp Set and coordinating Messages Die

First up is the card using Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Don’t forget to fill in the background, it really helps make the image look grounded.

Next is another version using Shimmery White card stock.

Sailing Home

Happy Saturday!

Today’s card is for all those people I know starting a vacation at the shore today – you know who you are – hope you all have a wonderful time and great weather!

My card features:

  • Sailing Home Stamp Set (images)
  • Timeless Tropical Stamp Set (greeting)
  • Hippo & Friends Dies (to die cut a mask)
  • Blending Brushes

To get started I used a piece of copy paper to die cut a “mask” to put over the Thick Basic White card stock base. Next I used my Blending Brushes to add color creating the sky, water and sand.  Seagulls are stamped directly on the card front and the light house is stamped using Memento Black ink, die cut and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Daisy Garden Background Stamp

When I first looked at the new annual catalog, one of the stamps that spoke to me was the Daisy Garden Cling Mount Stamp. Today I’ve feature two cards I’ve recently made using this stamp.

The Daisy Garden Stamp Set is sized perfectly for both cardmaking and scrapbooking projects. Stamp once for an organic bouquet, or multiple times for a repeated background look. The fine outlined details make this the perfect stamp to bust out your Stampin’ Blends or any coloring tool of your choice.

When I stamped the image, I chose to use my Stamparatus which helps you perfectly align stamp images, stamp multiples of the same project quickly and precisely, and get complete ink coverage. I thought I might need to stamp the image a couple time to make sure of a clean and crisp image.

If you are not familiar with the Stamparatus it was created by stampers for stampers.

Features include:

  • Compatible with red rubber cling and photopolymer stamps
  • 2 magnets to hold the paper in place
  • Rulers on 2 sides for quick measuring
  • 2 open sides so you can use larger paper
  • Multiple hinges for more placement options
  • 2 reversible plates for 4 sides to work with
  • 1 foam mat for use with photopolymer stamps and 1 base with grid
  • Magnet storage areas built in underneath the base

My first card is just simple the stamped image on new Pale Papaya card stock, teamed up with Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie.

Here is a more stepped up version, with a masked background, image die cut in a tag and colored with Stampin’ Blend Markers.  All the products used are listed below with pictures.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope these projects have inspired you to try paper crafting. Should you decide to place an order for Stampin’ Up! products, I would appreciate your business.

Soft Pastels Samples

Hope you had an enjoyable holiday weekend.

Today I thought I would share with you three cards using different methods and the new Soft Pastels Assortment from Stampin’ Up!

What is the Soft Pastels Assortment you ask? Well, they are easy to use chalk pastels that work with a variety of coloring tools like Stampin’ Up!’s Sponge Daubers, Blending Brushes,  Water Painters or even a Q-tip.  The Soft Pastels Assortment come in a cardboard case for storage.

There are 8 chalk pastels in Stampin’ Up! colors: Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy and Poppy Parade.

Scrap or Scribble pastel chalk on a scrap piece of paper or silicone craft sheet with your Take your Pick Tool, then apply to the stamped image with dry brush or Q-tip to your stamped image. I’ve even added directly to the Basic White and blended with my finger.

You can  even use your Water Painters to create your very own watercolor paints! For the final sparkly touch I’ve used Clear Wink of Stella brushed overt the dragonflies and flowers.  This technique makes a great one layer card.

Finally , the pastel chalk material also works great with images stamped in VersaMark. Simply stamp your image with VersaMark ink, let it dry, then color over it with the pastel markers and your choice of coloring tool.  For the sample below I used Sponge Daubers.

I had so much fun making these cards, I’ll be sharing more idea’s in the coming days.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope these projects have inspired you to try paper crafting. Should you decide to place an order for Stampin’ Up! products, I would appreciate your business.
