Tic Tac Toe with PCC245

Today’s card is for the Paper Craft Crew 245 Challenge -Tic Tac Toe and features some of the new 2017-2019 In-Colors and new Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle from the Annual Catalog that goes live June 1, 2017 at 10am MT.

After looking at the board for a few days, I finally settled on diagonal top left to bottom right:

  • Bright Colors
    • Berry Burst (new 2017-2019 In-Color, available June 1)
    • Lemon Lime Twist (New 2017-2017 In-Color, available June 1)
    • Bermuda Bay
  • Favorite Stamp Set
    • Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle (one of my favorites from the new Annual Catalog, June 1)
  • Ribbon
    • Lemon Lime Twist Finely Woven Ribbon (available June 1)

Here is the board you were able to pick from, what would you pick?

My card base is the new Berry Burst card stock. The mat is Bermuda Bay and the Happy Birthday was die cut from the middle. I used a variety of the images from the stamp set to create the background, the flowers are two step stamping and the little color is a stamped off second generation of the color with the outline stamp done at full strength. Balloons were stamped and punched out, with a Stampin’ Dimensional behind the Hooray balloon. Before I used the Fine-Tip Glue pen to adhere the Happy Birthday, I wrapped a piece of the new Lemon Lime Twist ribbon around the Bermuda Bay/Whisper White layer, which is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card base. Finishing touches are a bow adhered with a couple glue dots and some pearls, while the pearls are currently unavailable, they will be June 1st in a new design – all separate – no string of tiny ones, I’m looking forward to the new design.

I just love this color combination, so bright & cheerful!

Perfect Card for this Weekend

When I made today’s card I was not sure when I would post it, but after looking at the calendar I thought this was the perfect weekend to share it with you.

Today is part of the Memorial Day weekend here in the United States. Memorial Day is for remembering the people who died while serving in the country’s armed forces. The holiday, which is currently observed every year on the last Monday of May, honors all Americans who died while in the military service. It marks the start of the unofficial summer vacation season, while Labor Day marks its end.  While the colors may not be red, white and blue – the sentiment “Thank you Very Much” is perfect to honor all those who have given their life in service for this country.

The card

Hide Tide meets Sunshine Sayings for SIP Challenge 100

Each morning when I get up and while having my coffee I spend time checking out some blogs to see what other crafters are doing and when I saw this challenge, make a card using your favorite stamp set, ink & paper, I just knew the card that has been floating in my head needed to be made. I love the beach, blue and watercoloring so this is perfect, especially for this weekend, for what most call the beginning weekend of summer, now if only the sun will come out here in Pittsburgh.

Don’t forget to check out the Stamp Ink Paper blog, click on the image for a direct link to it.

My card has a few cool features, let me list a few:

  • Before I did any stamping a lightly water colored a background of Soft Sky and Crumb Cake
  • The lighthouse was stamped, hand cut out and attached before the layering
  • “Sunshine” is three layers of card stock adhered by using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen and has Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter for sparkle, just like the light beams
  • The ground layer at the bottom is also water color paper, with a hand torn top, color washed and then stamped
  • Chair and drink are from the new Seasonal Layers Thinlits, part of the Colorful Season’s Bundle in the new Stampin’ Up! Annual catalog which goes live June 1st – 10am MT

Thank you for stopping by, have a great day – Craft On!

When you spend at least $50 with me and add your order to the current Host Code (Z6XERXPX), making sure to check demonstrator contact, I’ll happily send you a re-useable thank you card and small thank you gift.

Old meets New with a Dapper Denim Thank You

Happy Thursday, one more day to go until the weekend. For me it’s the last day of work this week, I’m on vacation tomorrow, just like a lot of other people. They showed the morning traffic on the news today and more cars were outbound than inbound to the city, have a feeling quite a few people are starting their weekend early.

Last night I was looking through the new Annual Catalog that starts June 1st and a card caught my eye, it was using one of the Thinlits from the new Eastern Medallion Thinlits set (Eastern Palace Premier Bundle) and I thought I would recreate with a little twist.

The card used two different colored card stocks along with designer series paper, I decided to use the Eastern Beauty stamp set (from the Eastern Palace Premier Bundle) to create my own background paper. I start with a card base of Dapper Denim to match the 2″ x 4 7/8″ strip of designer series paper from the new Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack*. Next I used a piece of Whisper White 2″ x 4 1/2″ and using Dapper Denim ink, stamped images from the Eastern Beauty stamp set. The stamped Whisper White is attached directly to the card base at a slight angle and the designer paper is backed with Stampin’ Dimensionals and slightly angled the opposite direction. Next is a 3/4″ thick banner of the new In-Color Lemon Lime Twist*, which also has Stampin’ Dimensionals behind it.

When die cutting the medallion I added the largest circle from the Layering Circle Framelits to cut an entire circle, next I stamped Thank you and the flowers and adhered to the banner with liquid glue.  Using this same design you could use ribbon in place of the banner, change the orientation of the banner to vertical, emboss the card base or even one of the paper layers – there are so many possibilities.

Items with a * are available June 1st 10am mountain time when the new catalog goes live.  Eastern Palace Bundles are only available until May 31, 2017.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day – Craft On!

When you spend at least $50 with me and add your order to the current Host Code (Z6XERXPX), making sure to check demonstrator contact, I’ll happily send you a re-useable thank you card and small thank you gift.

Happy Birthday Jake!

Happy Birthday to my favorite nephew Jake!

Today he is finishing up his freshman year at the University of Delaware, guess that’s not a bad birthday present – your last final exam and then done for the summer. He plans on working and even taking a class over the summer, guess it will be busy for him. I’m sure my brother and sister-in-law will be glad to have him home for a few months, even if it’s to mainly eat and sleep. This card will be waiting for him when he gets home.

For his birthday thought I would make him a shaker card, one of my favorites to make.  This card features the retiring photopolymer stamp set Balloon Adventures, which also has matching Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits.  I used the center of the pop-up to create the shaker part and the envelope punch board to make a matching envelope. On the far left I tied some embellishments with Emerald Envy ribbon. Sequins used are from my stash from Pretty Pink Posh and some local stores. Sure hope he likes it!

Inside was stamped in Emerald Envy and a few pieces of designer series paper added as accents.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day – Craft On!

Some of the supply products used are on the retired list, may be sold out and are only available only while supply lasts. Retiring stamp sets are now only available while supplies last.

When you spend at least $50 with me and add your order to the current Host Code (Z6XERXPX), making sure to check demonstrator contact, I’ll happily send you a re-useable thank you card and small thank you gift.

May 2017 Sunday Stamper Cards

Hope you are having a nice weekend. Today I’ll be sharing with you the cards my Sunday Stampers will be making.

First we will be making cards using the new Eastern Palace Premier Bundle.  The card features the new Thick Very Vanilla card stock, Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper, Eastern Beauty stamp set, Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers, new 2017-2019 In-Colors Berry Burst & Tranquil Tide  and the Eastern Medallions Thinlits. They get to design their own focal image to add to the front of the card, not to mention stamp the inside as well.

Next, they will make one card featuring heat embossing with copper powder, using bubble wrap to create the background.  The flower will be stamped and punched before the embossing cardstock is adhered to the mat, a copper flower and retired rhinestone complete the card.  Masculine cards can be difficult to come up with and the Guy Greeting stamp set is perfect when paired with the retired Urban Underground Designer Series Paper, in the new catalog the new Wood Textures Designer Series Paper stack would be a great replacement. The Hexagon Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing folder makes for a nice textured background.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day – Craft On!

Some of the supply products used are on the retired list, may be sold out and are only available only while supply lasts. Retiring stamp sets are available until May 22nd, then while supplies last. Numerous products can be substituted to recreate these cards.

When you spend at least $50 with me and add your order to the current Host Code (Z6XERXPX), making sure to check demonstrator contact, I’ll happily send you a re-useable thank you card and small thank you gift.

If your order is over $150, I hope you’ll use all of the Host Rewards you’ve earned.  Otherwise, I’d love for you to add your order to the current Host Code Z6XERXPX.

Sneak Peek with PCC244

Happy Saturday. Today I thought I would combine a sneak peek of a new stamp set (Crafting Forever) and In-Color (Berry Burst) with the Paper Craft Crew challenge PCC244.  The new stamp set and In-Color will be available for purchase June 1st, when the new Annual Catalog goes live.

Click on the image below to check out the Paper Craft Crew Blog for other cool ideas.

Here’s how I created my card. To get started I used Watercolor paper and stamped the images using Black Archival ink, once the ink was dry using an Aqua painter and ink pads Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze & Berry Burst (new 2017-2019 In-Color), I colored in the images and cut them out with Paper Snips.  The pot with brushes, etc.  is backed with Foam adhesive strips before adhering to Very Vanilla that has been stamped with an image from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set, matted on Bermuda Bay and wrapped with bakers twine. The pens are adhered directly to the Very Vanilla and words (each stamped in a separate color and cut apart) are backed with foam adhesive strips, then onto the image. The entire mat was backed with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered to a Very Vanilla card base. For a finishing touch some Clear Wink of Stella was brushed on.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day – Craft On!

Some of the supply products used are on the retired list, may be sold out and are only available only while supply lasts. Retiring stamp sets are available until May 22nd, then while supplies last. Stop back June 1st to get the Crafting Forever Stamp Set available in either clear or wood mount.

Celebrate Good Times with a shadow

Happy Friday – any special plans for the weekend? I’ll be stamping with my Sunday stampers and running some errands.

Today’s card is using the Happy Celebrations stamp set and features a little shadowing of the word ‘Celebrate’, what started as a oh no, turned out to look rather cool, like a shadow. You see I was getting ready to stamp again to get a good clean image and I sneezed – the stamp shifted and a shadow was born.

To create the card I started with a Daffodil Delight card base, Chocolate Chip mat and piece of paper from the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack. Sentiment is on Very Vanilla and also matted on Chocolate Chip card stock. Ribbon is from the Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit.  This card can be created with any designer paper and matching ink pad – just make sure it’s good and juicy.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day – Craft On!

Almost forgot about this stamp set . . .

This past weekend I was looking through the new Annual Catalog that starts June 1st (one of the many perks of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator – early access to the catalogs) I saw that the Paisley & Posies Photopolymer Stamp set was part of the catalog. I really enjoyed this stamp set in the fall and had accidently put it away with my Christmas stamps – so out it came, I needed to start stamping.

I’m using the stamp set to highlight the 2016-2018 In-Colors:

  • Dapper Denim
  • Emerald Envy
  • Flirty Flamingo
  • Peekaboo Peach
  • Sweet Sugarplum

To create the card I randomly stamped starting with the larger images, ending with the smaller one to fill in the space. The mat and ribbon are Dapper Denim and adhered to the back of the mat with Mini Glue Dots. The sentiment is from Sunshine Saying, but any will work. To finish the card I added 2016-2018 In-Color Enamel Dots in some of the stamped images.  So many color combinations are possible and no two designs with come out the same, so you can’t go wrong with the stamp set.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day – Craft On!

Mini Treat Bag perfect for a gift card or even a cookie!

Hope you all had a nice weekend, what started out to be a weekend with rain in the forecast turned out to be rather nice with sun peeking out every once in a while and only rain late at night.

Thought I would create something a little different today, a mini-treat bag.  While the paper I used in sold out, any designer series paper would work and it’s the perfect packaging for a gift card.  All you need is one half of a sheet of designer series paper (6″ x 12″) to create the bag. I hand cut the banners and picked a  variety of trim’s with gold to add the sparkle to the front.

Here is a Stampin’ Up! video to show you how easy the bag is to put together:

PCC243 Sketch Challenge

Happy Sunday, last night’s hockey game did not end like I hoped, the Penguins lost, not to worry, it’s a seven game series. On a more positive note, what we thought was a pool liner issue turned out to be a pool cover issue and every time we thought we were draining water off the cover, we drained water out of the pool. Bring on summer, I’ll have a pool!

Today’s card is for the Paper Craft Crew 243 Sketch challenge, check out their blog by clicking on the image below.

To create my card I started with a Very Vanilla card base, mat of Bermuda Bay layered with a piece of paper from the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack.  Both banners are additional papers from the same stack. Greeting is from the Beautiful You Stamp set stamped in Bermuda Bay ink on Very Vanilla layered on a Scallop edge square.  Behind everything is a Lace Doily. Finishing touches include a gold glimmer circle and sequins from the Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit.

Thank you for stopping by.  Hope you have a great day – Craft On!

Eastern Palace Swap with 24/7 stampers

Recently a few of the 24/7 Stampers (the demonstrator group I am part of) got together and did a shoe box swap, since the group that met was in California and I’m in Pennsylvania, I participated via mail as did Marci Long in Texas.

A shoebox swap is when you bring a completely made card and all the parts ready to make the cards is a “shoe box” and you pass the box around any everyone makes the card.

Here’s a photo of the cards I received made with both the Starter and Premier Product Bundles. The Premier bundle includes the Eastern Medallions Thinlits. Wish I could identify who made what cards, but they did not put their names with them except for Marci (top right card). Aren’t they all beautiful!

Starter bundle, perfect for the beginner, item#147196 is $60.50 and includes FREE Very Vanilla Note Cards and Envelopes. The Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies are NOT part of this bundle.

Here’s a more closer look at the top fold cards:

The Premier bundle, perfect for the intermediate or advanced stamper, item #147207 IS $103.50 and includes FREE Very Vanilla Medium Envelopes and the new Very Vanilla Thick Card stock (8.5″ x 11″). This bundle does include the Eastern Medallion Thinlits dies.

This card uses the Eastern Medallion Thinlits and Cherry Cobbler card stock.

Both bundles include three of the new 2017 – 2019 In-Color ink pads:

  • Fresh Fig
  • Tranquil Tide
  • Lemon Lime Twist

Here is a close up of one of the cards which showcases some of the designer series paper, framelit and gold heat embossing.

Print Eastern Palace Flyer of what is included in the two bundles.

Here’s some Eastern-Palace Card Samples to create three beautiful cards using the Eastern Palace Premier bundle.

Only the bundles are currently available, individual products will be available with the new catalog launch June 1st.

In conjunction with the Retiring List, I’m excited to share my very own promotion from now until May 12th.   When you spend at least $50 with me and add your order to the current Host Code (Z6XERXPX), I’ll happily send you:

Z Fold card for PCC242 Color Challenge

Happy Sunday, hope you are having a good weekend. It’s rather cool and rainy here, hopefully today will have some sunshine.  Perfect time to make some homemade soup and spaghetti sauce for dinner and the freezer.

Today’s card is for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge 242, a color challenge. Click the image below for a link to check out their blog.  For my card I’m using a Night of Navy Z Fold card base that has been sitting in my stash for awhile now. To create my Z Fold card I started with a piece of card stock 4¼” x 11″, scored at 2¾” and 5½”.  The piece helps fold the card is 1″ x 11″, scored at 2¾” and 5½” and adhered opposite the folds of the card base.

The colors I’m using are Night of Navy, Calypso Coral, Watermelon Wonder and So Saffron. I decided to create my own designer series paper using the Love & Affection photopolymer stamp set and the colors I’ve listed.  The flowers are from the retiring stamp sets Flower Patch (the first stamp set I ever used for a swap card at convention) and Petite Petals and their matching punches Pansy and Petite Petals. The leaves are Night of Navy using the leaves of the Bird Builder Punch. Rhinestones in the center of the flowers are retired from my stash. The embossed image on the fourth quadrant is from the Floral Affection embossing folders, which coordinate with the Love & Affection stamp set.  Greeting on the front is from Suite Saying, making this card perfect to let someone know you are thinking of them.

Here is a close up of the card opened all the way.

Some of the supply products used are on the retired list, are only available only while supply lasts and may be sold out. Retiring stamp sets are available until May 22nd, then while supplies last. Numerous products can be substituted to recreate these cards, these make great samples.

In conjunction with the Retiring List, I’m excited to share my very own promotion from now until May 12th.   When you spend at least $50 with me and add your order to the current Host Code (Z6XERXPX), I’ll happily send you:

Turn your Gold Eastern Vinyl Stickers into Silver, how you say ?

Before I get started, I need to give credit to Janet Wakeland another Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for showing us how to do this using Window Sheets.

The Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers are really cool and a great addition to a card, or even like the card on the right, created completely with stickers with the exception of the sentiment from Thoughtful Banners Photopolymer stamp set and some Gold Metallic Enamel Shapes.

To create the card on the left and turn the gold sticker silver (the back of the sticker) you need a piece of Window Sheet, mine is 4″ x 5¼” for this card.  Once I cut the Window Sheet, I adhered the sticker to the window sheet, turned it over and magic – it’s Silver! I decorated the inside of the circle with designer series paper and stamped circle. To adhere to the card base I put Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the designer series paper and no one knows.

Kinda Eclectic meets Mint Macaron

Today’s card features a stamp set and In-Color which are among my favorites and both just happen to be retiring.

The six stamp set Kinda Eclectic, which comes in both wood or clear mount, was given to demonstrators a few years back at convention, I’ve loved it since the day we received it. There are matching butterfly punches, both of which are also on the retiring list.  Color for the card is Mint Macaron.

For this card, I kept it simple stamping all images either full strength or stamping off on scrap paper then the card. The butterfly is adhered with a cut piece of a Stampin’ Dimensional.  I did a little spritzing of Mint Macaron and Clear Wink of Stella.  The based of the card is a piece of Very Vanilla cut at 4¼” x 11″ and scored at 5½” for a top folding card. The card front was run through the Big Shot using the Fluttering Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and outside images colored with Clear Wink of Stella for just a little sparkle. The piece of Very Vanilla used for the stamping was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals to add depth to the card.

Some of the supply products used are on the retired list, may be sold out and are only available only while supply lasts. Retiring stamp sets are available until May 22nd, then while supplies last. Numerous products can be substituted to recreate these cards.
