Four Corner Flap Card

Hard to believe April is coming to an end!

Today thought I would share a new card design, a Four Corner Flap Card. While I’ve seen a few people make the card, I came up with my own way to cut the basics needed for the card.

What I did:

  • Card stock base – 4¼” x 7″, scored at 5½”
  • The two top front flaps are created by cutting away the section in the middle of the 1½” section
  • Each flap is 1½” wide, use your trimmer cut out the midde section from 1½” – 2¾”.
  • Cut down at 1½” on each side, then cut out the middle
  • Need 2 – 1½” squares for the bottom
    • Cover each square (4 in total) with 1 3/8″ or 1 1/4″ square of designer series paper
  • Card stock for the middle front section that holds the 4 corners together can be any size. Card below using 3¼” x 4¼”.
  • Add liquid glue to the ends of the corner flaps to adhere center piece. This way you don’t glue the card shut.
  • Embellish front as desired
  • Inside – 4″ x 5¼” designer series paper and Very Vanilla 3″ x 4″

Here’s the second card featuring the Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper.

Finally, the inside of the card. Designer Series Paper covers the inside and it’s been adorned with images cut from the paper. Even added a little ladybug!

So what designer series paper and stamps will you be using?

How about a fancy note pad?

If you are ever looking for a quick easy craft to use as part of a handmade gift or to sell at a craft fair, today’s blog post is for you!

First up is a covered composition notebook. Click here for a link to the one at Dollar Tree, or if you are like me, stock up when school supplies come out!

After doing this a few times, let me suggest the best way to cover the notebook.

  • Best to not try to cut the paper to the exact size but go larger and cut away the excess.
  • Don’t worry about covering the spine
  • Add Tear and Tape around the edges of the notebook and in the midde
  • Start at the spine, pulling away the tape and adding the designer series paper
  • Once covered cut away excess with your favorite pair of scissors
  • Embellish as desired
  • With the ribbon, wrap around the entire flap (inside & outside), secure with Tear and Tape, then tie the bow.

The second note pad comes from Dollar Tree. It’s a 4″ x 6″ white pad made by Array. Click here for a link.

Specifics to cover the note pad:

  • 4″ x 10″ piece of designer series paper
  • Start by only adhering on the back
  • Fold over the spine, crease with your bone folder, but don’t adhere yet to the front
  • Add coordinating piece to the front cover that is 4″ wide and tall enough that when the back piece is brought over, they overlap
  • Adhere down all designer series paper
  • Add 3/4″ strip to cover the seam (suggest make it longer than needed and cut off excess)
  • Embellish as desired

Cute as a Bug cards

Happy Saturday, today I’m on my way to Memphis for a visit to Graceland with a group of girlfriends!

First up is a sunburst card.

Cut Designer Series Paper to 2″ x 5″, then cut on the diagonal, left top to right bottom. Using a piece of Basic White or colored card stock cut to the desired size, make a mark where you want the sunburst to start, the start adding the strips of paper. Cut of excess, run paper then through an embossing folder before adding to a card stock mat, then card front. Embellish as desired.

Next, the inside of the cards. Had a few pieces of designer series paper, cut them in half and added at the bottom to tie the cards together.

Final card uses two of the 3″ x 4″ cut a part pictures to create the front of the card. Cut one in half. Add to the left and right side first. Next, back the other cut a part with two pieces of two tone card stock, then add to the card front. Images die cut from the designer series paper are added with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A few ladybug and dew drops added as embellishments.

  • Piece of designer series paper that can be cut into ½” strips, or the width desired
    • for below cards 4″ x 5¼” and 5″ x 3¾”

Sunday Stamper Cards – Apr26

Hi there, hope your weekend is going well. I’m preparing for my girl’s trip at the end of the week to Memphis to visit Graceland. Looking forward to seeing all the sites with my girls!

Today my Sunday Stampers are meeting and here are the cards we will be making.

Featured Products:

  • Gears & Textures Bundle
  • April 2026 Product of the Month – Eyelet Blooms Die
  • Sweet Words & Labels Bundle – #167628 – $52.00 (May On-Line Exclusive)

First up is a card featuring the Gears & Textures Bundle. Colors on card are Basic Beige, Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, and Pretty Peacock. Metallic paper, backed with Adhesive Sheet makes adding the die cut gears easy to adhere.

Second card features a sneak peek die set from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! May – August 2026 catalog.

Here’s the inside of the cards with the Flip Flaps, which can be decorated as desired.

The final card features the April 2026 Product of the Month – Eyelet Blooms Die. This is a fun card to make, think of using any width of paper you can easily cut in equal pieces. Also suggest using more than you think of Stampin’ Dimensionals so they don’t sag.

Cute Bugs and a Fun Fold

Sometimes you just need to let the designer series paper and dies do the work, today’s card does that.

Cute as a Bug is the perfect suite to create this card. All the “bugs” are die cut from the paper using the coordinating dies. If dies still show as unavailable, they should be any day now.

Petal card stock for the base, Basic White card stock mat and one of the cut aparts decorated completes the front. Greeting is from the March Product of the Month – Notes of Spring Stamp Set.

Here is the inside of the card, along with some specifics.

  • Designer Series Paper 4″ x 12″, score at 3″ 4″ 5″ 6″ 7″ 8″ and 9″
  • Valley then mountain fold across
  • Add the 3″ section of the designer series paper to left inside, with same margin top, bottom and left
  • Then add the 3″ section on the right the same way
  • Folds are not glued down
  • Basic White card stock for inside 2¾” x 3¾”

Let’s use those paper scraps!

Happy April 1st!

Today’s card is perfect for using up some of your designer series paper scraps.

Here’s what to do:

  • Cut a bunch of paper strips anywhere from 1″ – 2″ wide and 5″ long
  • Then use your trimmer to cut on the diagonal (top left to bottom right)
  • Add to a piece of card stock or even copier paper starting in the center with a point at the edge on the right side
  • Keep adding strips until the paper is covered
  • Trim to desired size, mat and add to card front
  • Before adding to card front, run through embossing folder if desired
  • Add sentiment section to card front

First is a card featuring the Prayers & Promises stamp set, perfect when you are not sure of the right words. Share words of faith and encouragement with the Prayers & Promises Stamp Set. It features messages of sympathy, love, and support to help you create comforting cards for those who need them most.

Next, inside of the card with layers of designer series paper and sentiment.

Finally, a birthday card. Use your favorite stamp set for the sentiment and background image.
