Watercolor Idea to try . . .

By | May 7, 2024

Happy Tuesday! Have a fun watercolor technique based on a sample from Stampin’ Up! for you to try.

Here is what I did:

  • 1/2 sheet of Fluid 100 Watercolor paper, with 3 strips of masking paper 3/4″ wide added to create four sections.
  • Water painters used to add Summer Splash and Coastal Cabana ink for a watercolor wash, alternating colors.
  • Once paper was dry, stamped images in Basic Gray ink from the Of Art & Texture stamp set and removed the masking paper.
  • Added to Basic Gray mat, then Coastal Cabana card base.
  • Sentiment stamped in Basic Gray ink and colored with Summer Splash Stampin’ Blend Markers. Added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Slipped ‘a speedy recovery’, which was die cut under the sentiment.
  • Tinsel Gems give just the right amount of bling!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope these projects have inspired you to try paper crafting. When you decide to place an order for Stampin’ Up! products, I would appreciate your business.
