Sponging or Swiping ? ? ?

By | February 12, 2019

On Sunday I posted a card using products from the Happiness Blooms Suite and used the Dot to Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, today I thought I would share two possible other backgrounds for the designer paper not using an embossing folder.

The card on the left uses “sponging” to create the background while the one on the right uses the “swipe” technique.

Sponging – uses pieces of a craft sponge to add color to card stock, you start on the outside and work your way in. It’s always best to go light to dark colors and make sure to blend between the colors

Swiping – open the ink pad and swipe or drag around the card stock, you may need to swipe a few times to achieve the color you are looking for

So which do you like best?

Here is a shot of the inside of both cards, some #simplestamping – just stamps, ink & paper. Don’t forget to add stamping to the inside and maybe even the envelope!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope this project has inspired you to try paper crafting. Have a great day – Craft On!
