Poinsettia Place Suite

By | August 6, 2020

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Today I thought I would share with you two cards I made with products from the new Poinsettia Place Suite, one of my favorites from the new August-December 2020 Mini Catalog! Not only is there a bundle (stamp set and dies), but gorgeous designer series paper, plush flocked specialty paper (that some of the dies coordinate with), beaded pearls and sheer real red ribbon.

The card are using the same colors for the Poinsettia’s – one using ink (Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive) and the other Watercolor Pencils.

Both cards have Thick Very Vanilla card stock bases, Cherry Cobbler card stock mats and backgrounds of the new Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper. For the first card below I’ve used the new Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper along with ink pads and the new Water Painters to apply the ink. To me, ink provides a deeper color vs. watercolor pencils. Images where stamped with Staz Black Ink.

For the second card, I’ve used Watercolor Pencils (Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive) to color the flowers and the Water Painters to blend out the color. The same designer paper was used for the background and another sentiment from the stamp set in Old Olive.  Gold Foil berries accent the card.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope this project has inspired you to try paper crafting. Have a great day – Craft On!
