Happy Saturday. I’ve a busy day planned today, need to do some food shopping, need to make a card for graduation party Sunday and have a 60th Birthday party tonight. Tomorrow I will share the card and gift for tonight. Weather here to day is cloudy but they say it will get sunny and less humid as the day goes on. Let’s hope they are right! Hope you have some fun plans today.

Today’s card is for the weekly Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch challenge, you can check out their blog here.

For my card I stayed rather true to the sketch, my major change was replacing the three triangles with new 2015-2017 In-Color Blossom Accents that I added rhinestones in the middle of for a little bling. To start the card I picked a piece of paper from the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack, matted it on a piece of Tip Top Taupe using Whisper White as the card base. In the center, using the swoosh from the Work of Art stamp set and stamped three of the new 2015-2017 In-Colors (Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush & Delightful Dijon) on Whisper White. The sentiment and flower is from the Sprinkles of Life stamp set, this piece is also matted on Tip Top Taupe and popped up with dimensionals.

Here is the inside of the card, using the same “three’s” from the front, I stamped the ice cream cone and three scoops (icing, clouds) from Sprinkles of Life stamp set and finished with Happy Birthday from Remembering Your Birthday.

Such a fun card Karen! I love your colour choices and how you’ve carried them through to the inside as ice cream – what a fun surprise! Thanks for joining us at The Paper Craft Crew this week 🙂

Hi Karen, I love the way you’ve carried your colours from the outside into the inside. The threes from the Work of Art stamp make a perfect background for your sentiment, too. I must say, adding those rhinestones to the In-Color blossoms was genius. Thanks for joining the Paper Craft Crew Challenge this week.
