Thursday I started my Memorial Day weekend with two vacation days before the long weekend. The weather here is to be in the mid to upper 80’s until Tuesday with possible pop up showers due to the heat and humidity, perfect pool weather. Last weekend we opened our pool and I’m hoping to spend a few hours each day enjoying it, I’ve stocked up on sunglasses, hats and sunscreen so I’m ready.
Yesterday we enjoyed breakfast at Cracker Barrel, ran a few errands before I spent a few hours in the pool. Thought you might enjoy at picture from the pool. When asked how the water was (we don’t have a heater), I’ve replied its rather “refreshing”, you get use to the cold after a few minutes and if I remember correctly, we never let cold swimming pool water bother us when we were younger.
Thought you would also enjoy seeing Diesel and Nitro, they love having their balls thrown and chasing them, Nitro would do this all day if someone threw the ball for him! I watched from the comfort of the swimming pool.
Today’s card features a mix of current and new products to create an summertime impossible card. An impossible card has little twist to it and when flat fits into a normal A2 envelope. The card base is 4.25″ x 5.5″, scored at 2 1/8″ on the 4.25″ side and on the 5.5″ side, one of side of the 2 1/8″ score line is scored at 2.75″, then cut on the score line and on the other side scored 1″ & 4.5″ and cut on both of those lines as well. You “twist” the center and the magic happens.
For my card I used the new 2018-2020 In-Color Blueberry Bushel Card stock and matching 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (both available June 1st). Greeting (stamped in the new In-Color Pineapple Punch), chair and drink is from the Colorful Seasons Photopolymer Bundle, the stamp set & matching dies will be available in the new annual catalog, but bundle pricing will go away, you’ll want to get the bundle now to save 10%. The sand dollars and seaweed are from the Sea of Textures Bundle available June 1st, this is a great bundle for the summer. Look for some cards using this bundle over the next few weeks.
