Garden Birthday for PCC296 Sketch Challenge

By | June 25, 2018

Good morning. It’s back to work Monday, after a four day weekend it sure is tough. The four days just flew by and I finally was able to get some crafting time in Sunday. I’ve been participating in the Paper Craft Crew challenge for a while now and this one was a tough one for me, finally Sunday the pieces just all fell together.

Here is the banner for the card, don’t forget to check out their blog.

Garden Impressions 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper was the key to my design. I started with a piece cut down to 3 7/8” x 5 1/8” and matted on Shaded Spruce Cardstock 4” x 5 ¼”, then on a Whisper White card base. Sentiment was stamped in Shaded Spruce using the Picture Perfect Birthday Photopolymer Stamp Set. Next I picked a paper and cut a 1 ¾” square, punched a decorative ribbon, adhered to one side of the square of DSP and added to the card front. Flowers are from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits, I used scraps of Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral and Crushed Curry, layered them together and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Leafs were punched from Vellum Cardstock and Shaded Spruce and adhered with liquid glue. Finishing touches include an Enamel Dot and Metallic Pearls.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by, hope you are inspired to try stamping.

Honestly, I’ve been ‘afraid’ of this DSP because of the busy patterns, but you’ve completely ‘tamed’ it, Karen! And you’ve shown it off beautifully! The little die cut flowers are gorgeous, and really stand out against the background. Thanks for joining our Paper Craft Crew challenge – hope to see you again! ~Deborah, DT
