With the new annual catalog starting May 4th, with the exception of the In Good Taste 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, all designer series paper retires and I wanted to provide some card samples using these papers for the base of cards.

For my first card I’m using the retiring Well Suited 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, Geared Up Garage Cling Mount Stamp set and Garage Gear Dies.

For the inside I’ve stamped the oil spot in a stamped off version of Cajun Craze ink, then the greeting is stamped with Memento Black Ink.

For my second sample I’m using the Fine Art Floral 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and the coordinating Art Gallery Bundle (stamp set and dies).

Here is the card once the belly band is removed. I will be stamping the inside what I know the card will be used for.

Measurements for today cards:

• Card stock – 4¼” x 5½”
• Designer Series Paper – 5¼” x 12″, scored at 2″ 4″ 8″ 10″
  • fold mountain – valley – valley – mountain
• On the 2″ panels on the far left and right, on the outside make a pencil mark at 2¾” down from top
• Cut from the pencil mark to the top of the score mark those panels, adhere the cut apart piece to the bottom, this way when you fold and close the card you see both patterns
• Use Belly band to hold the card closed

Today I thought I would share with you a simple design showing both a “simple” and “stepped up” version of the same designer series paper, which I’m featuring Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper from the Fine Art Floral Suite of Products in the January – June 2021 Mini Catalog.

Card basics:

• 2¾” x 4″ Designer Series Paper
• 1″ x 4″ Designer Series Paper
• Card stock for the base
• Sentiment of your choice
• Embellishments & accents of your choice or keep it simple

Here is the first simple card, just paper, ink and a stamp.

For the stepped up version of this card I’ve stamped tone on tone for the card base and matted the designer series paper with Gold Foil Sheet that was run through the Cut & Emboss machine using the Subtle 3D embossing folder.

How about two more cards, this time using another of the patterns from the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper.

First is the simple version, just card stock, designer series paper and a sentiment.

For the stepped up version of this card, I used the Night of Navy Blend Markers to color the 3/8″ Fine Arts Ribbon to highlight that color in the designer paper. Again, I matted the designer paper, add the sentiment on paper backed with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added some rhinestones.

Today I’m sharing two additional cards made using the same Fun Fold as Sunday Butterfly card but this time I’m using the Hydrangea Havin Bundle and coordinating products.

Hard to believe the card base starts as one piece of card stock 8½” x 9″ which you score then cut to create the two pieces needed to complete the card.

For the first card, I’m featuring the color Highland Heather for the card base and even added a piece of designer paper to the envelope.

The card below features the retiring In-Color Rococo Rose. Don’t forget to add some designer paper to the envelope to complete the look.

Today my Sunday Stampers will be getting together to make some projects and I thought I would share those with you.

The first card uses one of my personal favorite bundles, Hydrangea Haven – as Hydrangea’s are my all time favorite flower!  The card is a Split Front with Mercury Glass Acetate holding the two pieces of card stock together for the base.

Here is the inside of the card:

Second, we have a fancy fold that starts as one piece of card stock to make both cards used. Unfortunately the designer series paper used for this card is no longer availabe.

How about a Mini Slim Line card? Today’s card uses the Pretty Perennial Bundle to make your own designer series paper for the background.

For this set of Mini Slim Line cards, designer series paper was cut using the same measurement as the Basic White above, just add a sentiment as the card is done.

Happy Saturday, hope you are having a good weekend.

Today I thought I would share a card were I used the Gilding Leafing to create the border for the matting and to fill into the “empty” space on the focal image.

Here is how I created the focal image:

• Add card stock to an adhesive sheet cut to size
• Leaving a small space, about 1/8″ between the strips – added designer series paper cut in various widths to create a pattern
• Once all designer series paper is adhered,  added Gilding Leafing to the spaces just like grout with tile
• Burnish with your finger to make Gilded Leafing stick to the exposed adhesive sheet
• For the mat I added Tear & Tape to the edge and applied the Gilded Leafing
• Focal image section is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals

Card is decorated with dragonflies and Ladybug trinkets adhered with glue dots.  Sentiment was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White card stock and hand cut out with paper snips.

While looking through cards on Pinterest for some fun fold idea’s I came across this design and thought I would share with you today.  Best part of the fun fold is that it fits into a standard medium envelope.

Basics of the “new to me” Fun Fold:

• Card base 4¼” x 11″, scored at 5½” and 8¾” and matching front card stock is 3″ x 3″
• Mark the middle of the 4¼” side (2 1/8″) and down the same length on the sides (11″ side)
• Connect the marks and cut away the four triangles
• Fold at the 8¾” mark and add the 3″ square
• Designer Series Paper, 2 pieces 3 1/8″ x 4″ for front & inside
• Basic White 2¾” x 2¾” for front and 4″ x 5¼” for inside
• Basic White for inside, mark one 4″ side at 2″ then down 2″ on both side
• Connect marks and cut away triangles

Here is the side view of the card.

For the inside I’ve added the 2nd piece of designer paper, along with the Basic White which is stamped and have a Dragonfly added.

Don’t know about you but I’m sure looking forward to warmer weather and opening the backyard pool on Memorial Day weekend!

Today I thought I would share a few cards made with products from the Sand & Sea Suite.

Can you tell which card was made with the designer series paper and which is stamped images?

How about a fun fold, with some 1½” Metallic Mesh ribbon for the bow. The ribbon goes great with the ocean look.

Seashell stickers have been used for decoration on both the inside and outside of the card.

Finally, how about a card in a pocket.

For the pocket use ¼ of a sheet of card stock with a 3″ square cut at the diagonal for the pocket. Add a 3″ x 6″ top fold card.

Earlier in the week I shared a card with you using a Clear Block for the background, today I have another card for you including a tip at the end for fussy cutting out a greeting.

Card specifics:

• Rococo Rose card base stamped around the edges with flower image
• Rococo Rose card stock mat
• Shimmery White card stock, stamped with C Block
  • Coastal Cabana
  • Rococo Rose
  • Misty Moonlight
• Stamp flower image in blocks using same color
• Die cut 3 Vellum card stock flower images, attach with glue dot
• Add Elegant Faceted Gems
• Stamp greeting in Misty Moonlight
• Happy is cut out with paper snips

Here is a tip for cutting out a greeting, track around with a pencil and follow that line with your paper snips, erase any remaining pencil lines.

Today’s card was inspired by the view out my front door last week.  We has some beautiful sunsets, that started with a Poppy Parade like color and changed into Blushing Bride, followed by Daffodil Delight and ending in Balmy Blue.

Card how to:

• Clear Block F colored from ink pads directly
• Spritz block with water and stamp on Shimmery White card stock
• Once paper is dry, run through Cut & Emboss Machine using Subtle folder
• Letters from Playful Alphabets Dies
• Images from Nature’s Root Dies, adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals
