Anniversary Card – Mike & Diane

This week, my brother and sister-in-law celebrated their anniversary, thought I would share the card I made for them. The card base and background mat are Whisper White, for a nice clean look. The background is embossed with the Adorning Accents embossing folder (retiring) and highlighted with Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape.  Entire background is popped up with dimensionals.  I used the Hearts a Flutter framelits to cut out the hearts, which… Read More »

Sneak Peak!

Happy Saturday,  today I thought I would share a  card make with products from the new catalog, available June 2nd. It’s a simple card  using the new Blended Bloom Stamp,  Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers. Some fussy cutting and the greeting from Itty Bitty Banners.   One tip when “fussy” cutting out a stamped image, run a black marker around the cut out edges, really helps finish the edges.  Craft on!

Tag a Bag into a Card!

Here is a card using the “Tag a Bag” Accessory kit in a different manner, sometime you just need to think outside the box. Gumball green cardstock for card base, equal size pieces of Crushed Curry cardstock and Epic Day Designer Series Paper create the back drop for a tag, label and Bakers Twine from the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit. Punched out a Butterflies  in Crushed Curry and accent with small… Read More »

Remembering summer of 2013 and Maya’s card design!

It’s been a busy weekend and now I am relaxing watching a concert performance of  Jason Aldean  at the Stagecoach Festival.  He’s one of my favorite country singers. Last summer I had the pleasure of meeting him and getting a photo with him, one of the highlights of my summer. One of the other highlights of the Summer of 2013  was attending my first Stampin’ Up convention in Salt Lake City, which… Read More »

For todays card a used the ‘Watercolor Wonder Designer… Read More »

Vellum – Washi and Sunday Stampers

Today was my monthly Sunday Stampers club meeting. We made cards using the Chevron Border punch, which I showcased last Sunday as a “preview” of the cards for club.  We also used Washi Tape and Gold Embossing on some Whisper White cards. For the Whisper White cards, the first used the Label Love bundle (stamp set with matching punch) to create a cute gift card.  On a square of Whisper White we covered… Read More »

Sunset Colors = Card

This past week I was out of town for a business meeting.  The flight home was during sunset. The view out of the plane window was beautiful – the lights of NYC (amazing how straight some of the streets are by the look of the car lights) and the sunset!  As I looked at the beautiful colors of the sunset – all I could think of was Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Wild… Read More »

Island Hunters inspired card!

This past Friday night “Island Hunters” was on while I was doing some chores in preparation for a business trip this week. I was inspired by the birds that I kept seeing.  All I could do was think of this card, so I stopped and put it together. It’s very easy card for a beach loving friend! Card base is Crumb Cake (a favorite of mine) and side folding.   Sponge Daubers where… Read More »

Hi there and welcome to Cards and Crafting with Karen. Looking forward to the weekend, spending time with my husband and doing some crafting.
