How about a zoo in a card . . .

Happy Thursday, one day closer to the weekend!  Any special plans? We’ll be watching the Steeler game Saturday night with friends and hopefully the weather will warm up for some pool time.

When I saw that the Paper Craft Crew challenge this week was a fun fold I decided on a Z-Fold card, that has panels added so that I could have 5 rows of animals just hanging out together.

What is a Z-Fold card you ask, for my card it’s a card base 4¼” x 11″, scored at 2¾” and 5½” and a piece of 1″ wide card stock 11″ long scored at 5½” and 8¼” – both of which when you fold them look like a “Z”, once the 1″ piece is attached the card will actually fold flat.

In the second section of the card, I created little strips of paper ¾” wide by 3¾”, scored ½” from each end and adhered for the animals to be attached to. The animals were either die cut with their matching dies or fussy cut out with Paper Snips. Greeting on the front is from Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set using a Stitched Shaped Oval and Scallop Oval Die Cut. Adhesive Back Sequins and Wood Frames Element finish off the card.

Here is what the card looks like when not completely open and will fold down to fit into a standard A2 envelope.

One of the Sloths that was cut out has been added to the Whisper White on the back that can be used for writing your greeting celebrating the persons birthday. Greeting and noise marker are from the Picture Perfect Birthday Photopolymer Stamp set. The Detailed Trio Punch helps finish off the corners.
