Happy Birthday Jackson! Today is my cousin Lisa’s, son’s birthday – he is 2. Thought I would share his shaker birthday card with you. Lisa has two boys and one of the reasons I purchased the “No Bones About It” stamp set was knowing it would be great to use for their birthdays!
The card starts with a base of Very Vanilla and is a 5″ square card. Used Pacific Point as the mat and outside is Old Olive, Gorgeous Grunge stamp set was used to stamp color on color to decorate the Old Olive. Next I die cut a circle out of the Old Olive using a circle from the Circles Collection framelits. To make sure I used a big enough circle, I stamped what I wanted to use first then picked the circle that best fit. A piece of window sheet was attached to the Old Olive (on the backside) with liquid glue to hold in the “shaker material” = sequins/glitter from my stash. The layer used to create the shaker is a piece of fun foam with a circle die cut and the image glued behind the opening. To finish the front, sentiment is stamped, with banner ends and backed with dimensionals. After the photo is a layering list for how I put together a shaker card, hope it helps!
Shaker card – Top to bottom (using my card colors):
- Old Olive – top
- Window Sheet (glued to top on the backside)
- Fun Foam
- Stamped Image glued to the Fun Foam and then to the mat
- Mat (Pacific Point)
- At this point I have the top & window sheet together & fun foam/image/mat together
- Add “shaker material” – confetti, glitter, sequins, seed beads, etc
- Glue top piece to bottom and attach to card base
- Card Base (Very Vanilla)
Thank you for stopping by today, hope you liked the card. Click on any of the images below for more product information or to place an online order. Have a great day, Craft On!
