Stampin’ Up! shares a creative challenge each month.
This month a sketch was the starting point and they reached for the Scenic Coast Specialty Designer Series Paper. I’ve used the Artisan Sketched Garden 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and the Spotlight on Nature Dies for my card.
While sometime the paper helps you choose a layout, when you feel stuck, begin with a sketch to find a starting point.
Where can you find a sketch? For example, why not start with a Stampin’ Up! catalog. You can even trace a card you like in catalog to use as a starting point. Sometimes I make the card as in the catalog, which then gives me ideas on how I can use other designer series paper or stamps and dies to create other cards.
The Artisan Sketched Garden 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper a beautiful black and white paper. With floral, stripes, dots, and more, these patterns create a timeless base for handmade cards, scrapbook pages, and mixed-media layers. It’s the perfect starting point for playing with color, texture, and your favorite coordinating craft elements.
For my card I’ve used a variety of Stampin’ Blend Markers to color the images and Timid Tiger card stock for the mat and banner greeting.
