Welcome to the short work week, four day weeks seem to fly by, gotta love that. Tonight I have my fantasy football draft and I’m looking forward to it. I was lucky enough last year to be the league champ! Since it’s Tuesday  that means Stampin Up has new weekly deals, don’t forget to check them out. Click on my Weekly Deals page to see them.

Today’s card is for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch Challenge, don’t forget to check out their blog.

I had a tough time coming up with the design for my card, but as a was swimming yesterday in the pool, the idea just popped into my head and later in the day I created the card. It all started with a piece of paper cut with banner ends from the Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper. The card base and hexagons are in Soft Sky. The Whisper White mat is sprinkled with Gold Embossed images using a stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. Before I attached the Whisper White to the card base I adhered the banner and stapled the Red Pom Pom Trim on. Sentiment is from the Reason for the Season Stamp set and used the Project Life Corner Punch for rounded edges. Candy Dots and Red Foil Flowers (from the Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack) accent the card.

I love it when people use their imaginations and create non-conventional Christmas cards, Karen, and yours is one of the cheeriest I’ve seen. Beautiful mixture of colours and products. I love the way you added that strip of Real Red pom-poms. The gold embossed sentiment and those gold embossed splatters are just the perfect elegant touch. Thanks so much for joining our Paper Craft Crew Challenge this week.
