Let it Snow with #GDP010

By | 11/11/2015

Happy Wednesday, we have made it half way through the week, it sure was rainy here yesterday and the rain will be back on Thursday. I have some errands to run, so today after work seems the best time, at this point they say no rain but you know how that works. Today I want to give a few friends a call I haven’t talked to for awhile, I had a dream that was so real last night and I could see them clearly in it, so I want to touch base with them today. Do you ever have dreams like that ?

On to some card making, today’s card is for the Global Design Project #010, don’t forget to check out their blog.  This cute design is thanks to Teneale Williams.

GDP010 Sketch

To make my card I started with a base of Thick Whisper White 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ and folded for a top folding card. Next came the three squares, Red Glimmer, Night of Navy and Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper all cut with my paper trimmer. The Season of Cheer square was then cut in four even pieces and glued to the Night of Navy Cardstock making sure to keep the design in tack. All three layers are glued together then onto the card base. For the penquin, he came from the Snow Place Stamp Set and was die cut with the Snow Friends Framelits, these can be purchased separate or as a bundle for a 15% savings. For the hat I die cut one with Red Glimmer paper and a second with Dazzling Diamond Glimmer paper, snipped the brim and pom-pom from the Dazzling Diamond and using glue dots attached to the red hat, then a few glue dots to adhere to the penquin, who is backed with dimensionals and added to the card. Let it Snow comes from the Sparkly Seasons stamp set and Word Window punch used to punch out and glued to the card. Finishing touch is a Red Glimmer bow adhered with a glue dot!
