This past weekend I needed a few quick cards and thought of the Favored Flowers 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, a level 1 Sale-a-Bration selection. Don’t let this designer paper fool you, the “B-side” is perfect for masculine cards.

The first card features a Calypso Coral card stock base, and all three cards have Basic Black card stock mats.

Thick Basic White card stock makes the perfect card base. Add a sentiment and card completed.

Finally the last card has a Fresh Freesia card base and uses the Lovely & Lasting Bundle for the greeting.

Hard to believe two days from now, February 28th, is the last day of Sale-a-Bration 2023.

Thought I would share a couple cards made with bits and pieces from my craft table.

I’ve been on a Gnome kick lately, and the card below marries a few different cards I saw on Pinterest. Clear Wink of Stella adds a nice sparkle to the heart die cuts from the Share a Milkshake Bundle. Gnome Dies are due back in stock end of March.

Do you cut apart sentiments to add to your card fronts?

Card below features the color Blackberry Bliss, in both designer series and ink for the flower. Designer Series Paper is Stampin’ Up! beautiful, patterned paper that coordinates with their ink, card stock and embellishments!

Adding a spritz of water to the inked stamp, before stamping really gives a nice watercolor image.

The twine wrapped around the card front and tied in a bow are a few strands from the Silver Threaded Twine.

Today I thought I would share a card made with the Lucky Clover Stamp Set. The greeting at the bottom right below is so true and a perfect reason alone to purchase the stamp set.

Were you lucky enough to get the bundle before the punch sold out? I’m so glad I ordered the bundle right away. Lesson learned from this is – when there is a seasonal item like a clover punch you want, order it right away for your best chance of purchasing it!

Card Specifics:

• Granny Apple Green card base
• Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper for the background (two different patterns)
• Background pieces added to Basic White card stock cut to 4″ x 5¼” and run through Cut & Emboss machine using Gingham Embossing Folder (or the folder of your choice).
• Shamrocks stamped in Granny Apple Green ink

• Basic White for inside greeting 3¾” x 5¼”

The first I made used the Favored Flowers 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper with a sneak peek bundle, Irresistible Blooms Bundle Online Exclusive available March 1, 2023.

Here is a side view of the card so you can see the inside folds. I’ve added strips of paper for added interest. Biggest Wish Photopolymer stamp set used for the inside greeting.

Second card I made used the Delicate Desert 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper teamed with the Share a Milkshake Bundle.

Finally, the inside of the card. Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Soft Succulent and Calypso Coral colors coordinate nicely.

Happy Sunday, hope you are having a good weekend.

Last week I participated in an online party event, and we made a “Four Corner Card”. Thought I would share the card I made during the event and an additional card using a cute little gnome.

Card Measurements:

• 2 – 1¾” squares of designer series (patterned) paper – cut each square on the diagonal using your paper trimmer, then add to the card stock piece listed below
• card stock that coordinates with designer paper – 3½” x 4¾”
• card stock for border – 3¾” x 5″
• card base – either 5½” x 8½” scored at 4¼” or 4¼” x 11″, scored at 5½”

The card below uses the Friendly Gnome Stamp Set for the focal image.

Here is the card I made during the online event. The flowers and leaves are part of the Irresistible Blooms Bundle, one of the items included in the March 2023 Online Exclusive Product Release.

Early this week my Sunday Stampers gathered, and we made three cards. Here are few additional cards using either the same measurements or stamp sets for some other ideas.

Only change to this card from Sunday is that the Deckled Rectangle Dies where used for the layers, everything else is the same.

Turned the carrots upside down to create trees with the Thanks A Bunch Sale-a-Bration stamp set. The Fern 3D Embossing Folder adds a nice mat for the focal image matted on Mango Melody card stock. Birds and greeting from the Waves of Inspiration Bundle from the annual catalog.

Finally, a Friendly Gnomes card using Petal Pink and Soft Suede. Any piece of the Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper works for this Accordion Card. There are so many possibilities of color combinations with this designer paper.

Happy Valentines Day!

Today is one of those days where I don’t cook, my husband will get us salad, pizza and calzones to share for dinner, yum! Any special plans for today?

Thought I would share a couple “sweet” cards with you.

The first card features the Friendly Gnomes Photopolymer Stamp Set, along with the Tea Boutique cards and envelopes. I’ve created a frame using the largest square in Stylish Shapes Die and a 3″ square of foil paper. Use the Stamparatus for a clean sharp greeting.

Layering Diorama Dies team nicely with Share a Milkshake Bundle, I’ve even included two straws. Wink of Stella adds a nice sparkle to the hearts.

• Orchid Oasis (matches the designer series paper)
• Starry Sky

A few weeks back I participated in an online event where we made a “mystery card”.

A mystery card is where you are given a list of supplies needed to make the card including measurements. Then when you are all together, step by step you are given instructions on how to make the card. The fun part is everyone uses what they have, and cards all turn out different.

Here is the card we made:

For mine, I decided to use a background stamp pn the card front and Decked Rectangle Dies to die cut the layers vs. specific measurements.

The 1″ strips were added to a Basic White Card stock piece 4¼” x 5½”, then you could cut to size or use a die. Mossy Meadow card stock is the mat color and scallop oval. Hint: punch the shape (since the top image on the punch), then add the striped piece to save on card stock.

Finally, greeting is from Paradise Palms stamp set.

Sale-a-Bration Feb23 2nd Release Flyer

Happy Tuesday, hope all is well with you!

Today I thought I would share a fun birthday card made with the Share a Milkshake Bundle.

Here is a look at the stamp set, think of all the fun items you can make! While it does have a Valentine greeting – the bundle can be used for any occasion – I’ve turned it into a birthday card.

Card specifics:

• Thick Basic White card base
• Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper (SAB item)
• Balmy Blue and Coastal Cabana ink and card stock
• Mutiple die-cuts used (milkshake, ice cream sundae and waffle cone)
• Silver foil spoon and straw
• Glimmer Red card stock (retired) used for the cherry
• Retired embellishments (because they matched)

Finally, here is the inside of the card. I’ve teamed up a greeting from the bundle with the “Happy Birthday” from the Party Puffins stamp set in the annual catalog.

Today’s Gnome card features Dandy Designs 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, or DSP for short. With this layout, you can create three cards from one sheet of designer paper.

Card specifics:

• Card base 4″ x 12″, score at 5½” and 11″
• Pale Papaya card stock die cut with scallop edge die (from Scalloped Contour Dies)
• Largest Stylish Shape Circle
• Memento Black in used to stamp all images
• Multiple colors of Stampin’ Blend Markers (Pale Papaya, Smoky Slate, Parakeet Party, Highland Heather, Fresh Freesia and Crumb Cake)
• Balmy Blue and Parakeet Party ink added with Blending Brushes to ground images
• Adhesive Backed Milky Dot added to the door handle on the Mushroom

Finally, for the inside of the card has a Scalloped Rectangle in Pale Papaya card stock. Die is stamped with hearts from the Share a Milkshake bundle and sentiment from Friendly Gnomes stamp set.

If you are concerned about the stability of the card, you can always add to a piece of card stock 4¼” x 5½”.

As of writing this blog post the Gnomes Dies are marked low inventory. If the dies are unavailable, you can always cut out the gnomes with paper snips.
