Ringed with Nature Bundle

Today I have a Fun Fold card for you featuring the Ringed with Nature Bundle, along with the Rings of Love 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, a level 1 Sale-A-Bration choice.

Ringed with Nature Bundle includes the Ringed with Nature Stamp Set and the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder.

Card Specifics:

Card base 5½” x 8½”, scored at 4¼”
With the score mark in the middle, cut from the bottom left corner to the top score mark
Designer Series Paper 4″ x 5¼”, then cut on the diagonal from top left to bottom right, one piece fits the front of the card and the other can be used on inside (add to 4″ x 5¼”) or cut a Basic White piece 4″ x 5¼” on the diagonal and use one piece
Second card is 3″ x 8½”, scored at 4¼”
You can get the base and second card from one piece of 8½” x 11″
Sentiment and leaves stamped on Basic White 2¾” x 4″ front piece and mushrooms are stamped on inside
Front has die cut Mushrooms and a “Wood Ring” die cut and embossed from the designer series paper.

Below is a side view of the card where you can see how the cards are put together. While I have used 1 piece of 4″ x 5¼” piece of designer series paper cut at the diagonal, you can always use 2 pieces – a whole piece on the inside and half cut on the front. In September I will share a card made like that.

August Sunday Stamper Cards

Today I’m sharing with you the cards my Sunday Stampers will be making. I’ve provided a simple and slightly stepped-up version of each card.

Here are the basic versions of the card we will be making.

Below are the stepped-up versions.

The first cards feature the Oceanfront and Sunkissed Stamp Sets, along with a little paper piecing. The stepped-up version has the umbrella and hat stamped on designer paper and hand cut out before adhering to the card front.

Next, are cards featuring three level 1 Sale-A-Bration products the Hippest Hippo Stamp Set, Hippo Dies and Silver & Gold Designer Series Paper. For both cards I’ve adhered the Hippo’s using Hampton Art Action Wobbles, purchased from Amazon.

Finally, cards featuring partial die cutting. Stepped-up version on the left, simple card on the right.

Today I’m featuring projects made with the Boughs of Holly Suite Collection from the July-December 2022 Catalog.

Textural Elements – 20 pressed-wood pieces, 2″ x 1″
Product colors: Cherry Cobbler, Evening Evergreen, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Poppy Parade, Real Red, Sahara Sand, Shaded Spruce, Soft Succulent, Soft Suede

Here I’ve started using all of the products to create the card. I’ve added the die cuts using the Gold & Rose Gold 6″ x 6″ Metallic Specialty Paper.

The second project today is made with the Cracker & Treat Box Dies. Double Oval Punch used to decorate with some branches. This is perfect for a little treat, candy or other wise.

For the second card I’m featuring a 4″ x 5¼” piece of designer series paper decorated with a Textural Element which I’ve colored with Stampin’ Blend Markers and a heat embossed greeting.

Here is the gift card holder, so you can see how I decorated the inside. I’ve used a velcro dot as a closure, you could also use small magnets.

My final card today features a simple design good for mass producing.

CrissCross Card

Happy Monday, hope you had a good weekend. It was beautiful here Saturday but Sunday we had quite a bit of rain including some thunder and lightning. One good thing about the rain was that the pool received some water it needed!

Today I’m featuring a crisscross card featuring the Celebrate Everything 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, a $18 value host reward.

Here are specifics on how to make the card:

2 pieces of card stock 4¼” x 11″, scored at 5½”
With one piece cut from the score to the bottom left and on the other from the score to the bottom right.
Next, adhere the two pieces together in the center so the sides crisscross in the front
designer series paper is 4″ x 5½” cut corner to corner (make sure to watch the direction of pattern if there is one – you may need to use two pieces of designer paper if there is a directional pattern)

For the outside of the card, I’ve used a greeting from the Splendid Thoughts stamp set, inside greeting is from Peaceful Moments stamp set. Any greeting that fits the circle and inside works just fine.

Next, the belly band is ½” wide and used to keep the card closed. Decorate as desired. I used 2 Label Me Lovely Punch pieces – one on either side of the belly band for added strength

Simple card design

Hope everyone had a nice weekend, the temperatures here were more like fall than summer. I’m sure hoping we have some warmer weekends again, while I did get in the pool Saturday, Sunday was way to cool and I really enjoy my pool time.

Recently Stampin’ Up! shared a card I just loved the layout on and wanted to share it with you.

The first card I made was before I saw the measurement posted by Stampin’ Up! and I used the Rings of Love 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration level 1 free selection) and the Stylish Shapes Dies.

The first layer of designer paper is adhered directly to the card front at an angle. The second layer has a cut out and is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Greeting is on a die cut one or two sizes smaller. If you have circle punches, you can even use those to create the card.

The measurements Stampin’ Up! used for the cards they shared below. This is a fun and easy card to make!

Measurements for Designer Series Paper:

Bottom layer – 3½” x 4½”
Top layer – 3″ x 4″

Splendid Thoughts Mash Up!

Today is a mash up of two card designs. I’ve used left over pieces from one of my July Sunday Stamper cards and part of a card layout I saw on Pinterest.

Card features:

Splendid Thoughts Bundle
Splendid Day Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2 pieces 1½” x 3″
- 1 piece 1½” x 4″
Basic White card stock mat 4″ x 5¼” run through Cut & Emboss Machine using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder
Die cuts using Petal Pink, Calypso Coral and Thick Basic White card stock
Soft Sea Foam 3/8″ Seam Binding Ribbon
Double Oval Punch for greeting

For added depth I’ve used Soft Sea Foam ink and a Blending Brush to add color to the Basic White mat after I embossed it and to the oval with the greeting. Iridescent Rhinestones added the perfect bling to finish the card.

Happy Birthday Pop-Up!

Happy Birthday John!

Today one of my friends has a birthday today and I thought I would share the card I made and sent him with you.

The card is a bookbinding fun fold featuring:

Brewed for You Bundle
He’s the Man 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper
Pop-out in the center from a 6″ x 6″ square of designer series paper

To make a bookbinding card take your standard 4¼” x 11″ card base, score at 4¼ and 5½” once you crease the scores adhere between the two scores to the inside, you are left with a 4¼” x 4¼” on the front and inside to decorate.

For the inside I added a “50” from the retired Playful Alphabet Dies as I wanted to make sure to remind him of his birthday years!

Finally, to create the pop-up, score 2 sides of the designer series paper at 3″ then corner to corner only for one diagonal. Next, fold in the diagonal scores and flatten. It’s easier to adhere the back to the card base, then the front of the designer paper.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Today I thought I would share two cards made with Sale-A-Bration items, both are two of my favorites!

Wonderful World Bundle
Rings of Love 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper

The first card features the Wonderful World Bundle, a Level 2 item, free with a $100 USD product purchase. I’ve used Brights Stampin’ Write Markers to color the stamp for the two colors. I’ve used three strands for the bow.

The second card today features the Ringed with Nature Bundle (stamp set, die & 3D embossing folder) and Rings of Love 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. The paper is a Level 1 Sale-A-Bration item ($50 USD product purchase), so you can get it for free with the purchase of the bundle. One of the pages of the paper coordinates with the embossing folder and die. The other images on my card have been die cut with card stock.

Amazing Phrasing Stamp Set

Today I thought I would share a fun card using the 2021-2023 In-Color Ink pads teamed up with the Amazing Phrasing Photopolymer Stamp Set a level 2 Sale-A-Bration product, free with a $100 USD product purchase.

You’ll never be at a lack for words with the Amazing Phrasing Stamp Set. Put the words and phrases in this set together to create cards for any occasion. Birthdays, encouragement, apologies—whatever you need, we’ve got it covered. Choose one of the large words to start, then let your creativity take over. These phrases will help you make unforgettable cards and other projects. See them below.

To create my card I’ve used the Stamparatus and the step own technique, moving the cover down hinge by hinge changing colors in between.

To finish the outside of the card I’ve added some In-Color opal rounds.

Finally, for the inside the card I’ve stamped two more of the greetings.

Coastal Cabana card stock base

Waves are stamped using Balmy Blue, Coastal Cabana and Starry Sky
Seagull stamped in Sahara Sand and die cut with coordinating die
Seagull images die cut using Basic Gray card stock
Clouds slightly inked in Starry Sky and adhered with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
Sentiment adhered using the Starry Sky 3/8″ Metallic Woven Ribbon
Inside has another stamped seagull on Basic White card stock

Best Witches Stamp Set

Today I thought I would highlight the Best Witches stamp set along with the Silver & Gold 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, which is free with a $50 USD product purchase during Sale-A-Bration.

During one of my Sunday Stamper events, it was mentioned now nice it would look to color the paper with ink before adding the focal image – so today that is what I did – thanks, Theresa for the suggestion.

Colors for the background:

Pumpkin Pie
Parakeet Party
Gorgeous Grape

When I added the colored witches I fussy cut out, I added a Hampton Art “Action Wobbles” Mini Action Springs from Amazon behind them so that they move around – a really cool effect on the card.

My first card uses blending brushed on the background.

For the second card, I’ve swiped the ink pad across the designer paper. Both methods worked well for me.
