Good morning.

Today I have 2 cards for you featuring the “Paper Ribbon” technique, which I’ve seen recently on YouTube.

Keys to the card:

• Basic White card stock strip (I used 2″ and 2¼” widths) and 5 ½” length
• Make tick marks using a pencil every ½” along the long sides of the Basic White strip
• Strips of designer series paper ½” wide and slightly longer than the width of the Basic White
• Adhere one layer matching tick marks at the diagonal
• For second layer, opposite direction over the first layer, easier to start 1 or 2 strips down from the top

To finish, cut to desired length for your card. Hint: dry fit without adhesive

My first card uses a combination of the Rings of Love 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration level 1 selection) and the Ringed with Nature Bundle.

Finally, the second card I made using the He’s the Man 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper along with the Brewed for You stamp set to help create the background.

Merry Christmas in July!

Today I thought I would share four cards and a bonus project with you to get you started on your holiday cards and projects. All the projects use the Rings of Love 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, a level 1 Sale-A-Bration selection.

The paper includes images of cottages, mushrooms, acorns, birds, tree rings, and flowers. You can cut out some of the images with the dies included in the coordinating Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder. The paper also includes basic patterns that you can use with any project.

The first card features strips of the designer series paper. Unfortunately, the ribbon used on the card is retired, I had it in the wrong batch – but any ribbon that coordinates would work nicely.

Next, my second card I’ve embossed the designer series paper and used Mint Macaron and Night of Navy for the colors.

This card features Poppy Parade and Mint Macaron.

Finally, my last card I’ve used the Alphabest Bundle and polls from the Tree Lot Dies to create a Merry Christmas banner. Poles and letters adhered with combination of glue dots and dimensionals.

Online Only Bonus project: Need a quick gift, keep a variety of notebooks on hand and cover them with designer paper, who would not like a special notebook!  Now is the perfect time as school supplies are out to stock up!

Merry Christmas Eve in July!

Yesterday I participated in an Online Retreat and one of the cards made was called a Bay Fun Fold Card.  The card looks like your basic gate fold card, but when you open it up there is a bay fold on the side. Thought this would make a great card for today!

The main products used for the card include:

• Polished Pink and Pacific Point Card stock

Here is a close up of the inside, where I have both stamped and die cut the trees.  The banner is only adhered to the 1″ section in the middle.  The greeting will pop-up!

Good morning and happy Saturday!

Today I’m sharing the cards made for Challenge 4 of the Online Retreat I’m participating in. Today we have 8 presentations and prizes awarded – let’s hope I win something!

For challenge 4, we were given dimensions to use with card stock or designer paper to create our cards

• 3 pieces – 1½” x 2 ¾”
• 3 pieces for mats – 1 5/8″ x 2 7/8″

For my cards I’m using the Season of Chic Bundle along with the coordinating Texture Chic 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper and Distressed Gold 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper. I even added designer paper to the envelope flaps for interest.

My first card uses a horizontal layout for the rectangles, with the Distressed Gold Paper behind each of the die cuts which represent a different season.

For the card below I decided on a vertical layout using the same dimensions for the rectangles. The Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder provided the perfect background cut just slightly smaller than the card front.

Today I’m sharing 4 cards I’ve made for a One Sheet Wonder Challenge as part of the Online Retreat I’m participating in.

The cards started with a 6″ x 6″ piece of designer paper you measure 2″ in from each corner, place a tick mark and cut connecting opposite tick marks. All card bases are Thick Basic White card stock and the mats are Polished Pink card stock.

For my cards I used the Celebrate Everything 12″ x 12 Designer Series Paper, a $18 Host Reward item. You’ll be prepared for any card-giving occasion when you have this paper. Today I have a simple card for you featuring shades of blue.  This is the second card I’ve created for the Online Treat I’m participating in and the theme the challenge was Summertime Blue.

Doesn’t the Ray of Light Background stamp make a nice background for a sentiment. Just think of all the punches and dies you could use!

To finish the card, I’ve added the Iridescent Rhinestones on the “dots” of the i’s!

Hope you all had a nice weekend. I’ve been busy with my new kitchen storage, how many time can you rearrange kitchen appliances and storage containers?

Here is the first card, were I used the bird nest stamp to create the border for the card front.

For the second card I’ve used the Hive 3D Embossing Folder for texture, you can either use the actual card front, or cut a 4¼ x 5½” piece of card stock, emboss and add to the front of the card base.

When I first saw the Tree Lots Dies in the Sale-A-Bration catalog I did not think much about them even though they coordinate with the Trees for Sale Photopolymer Stamp Set in the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog.

Boy was I wrong – they are now a favorite of mine!

The dies are a Level 2 Sale-A-Bration product, which means here in the United States they can be yours with a $100 (before tax & shipping) product order.

Today I’m showing you they can be used for both Christmas or any time of the year.

First is a Christmas card with a “tree lot” and camper, not to mention sparkling lights. Card reminds me of one of the Hallmark Christmas Movies.

Finally, here the dies where teamed with the Party Puffins stamp set for a birthday card. The Basic Border Dies provided the outline for the clouds using Blending Brushed and shades of blue. Grass is shaded of green, all on a Pear Pizzazz card base to match the trees.

Today I’m sharing a card with you I created for an Online Retreat I’m participating in. For this challenge you needed to create a background for your card with Blending Brushes, Sponge Daubers or even just sponges.  My card uses Blending Brushes and a bunch of colors.

Main items in my card:

• Champagne Rhinestone Jewels (coconuts)

• Camper was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals
• Palm Trees adhered with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional under the branches for depth
