Here is the card I’ve created using the Be Dazzling 6″ x 6″ Specialty Paper for my main die cut feature.  The color of the paper is Champagne, but I’ve used my Real Red and Evening Evergreen ink pads to add color for the Poinsettia and Holly leaves. Hint: when coloring this paper with your ink pad, give it a few minutes to make sure dry and I used a piece of scrap paper to dab off any excess ink (I learned this after getting extremely red inky fingers).

On the 21st, my cousin was married and today I thought I would share with you the card I made for the happy couple.

Card recipe:

• Crumb Cake Card Stock Base 5½” x 11″, scored at 4¼ and 8½”
• Daisy Garden stamp set for the front
• Flowers colored with Watercolor pencils
• Paper Snips used to “weather” the ends of the paper layers
• Triple Twine Bow
• Double Oval Punch for sentiment
• Faceted Gems for bling

Here is the inside of the card where you can see the pocket on the right.  The inside left uses four different stamp set, something I rarely do, but I like how they all go together for the card. Stamp sets used are in the product list below.

Today I thought I would share a couple cards I’ve made with the Sale-a-bration stamp set “Textures & Frames”.

For my first card I’ve used the solid circle stamp to create the background. When stamping I started in the middle and worked my way out.  While I used 5 colors of ink, you see move when stamped. Before adding to the Daffodil Delight card stock mat the stamped sheet was run through the Cut & Emboss Machine using the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder. Card base is Gorgeous Grape card stock. Sentiment is from Biggest Wish stamp set on a die cut from the Hippo & Friends Dies.

For my second card I’ve used the stamp with 3 strips, again starting in the middle and working my way out. Sentiment is stamped in Memento Black ink using the Stamparatus for a good solid image.

Inside greeting for the card is from the In Your Words Host Cling Mount Stamp Set. During Sale-a-bration, for a workshop or order of $300 or more, the exclusive host stamp set is included for FREE!

Happy Thursday,  it’s been awhile since I participated in a sketch challenge and when I saw the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #499, I thought lets give it a try.  Each week, one member of their design team creates a sketch for you to try.  The challenge is to follow the sketch while keeping your project clean-lined and fresh.

Here is my challenge card.

Card basics:

• Magenta Madness Card base is 4¼” x 8½”, scored in half for a square card
• Shaded Spruce card stock mat is 3″ square cut on the diagonal
• Expressions In Ink Specialty Paper 2¾” square cut on the diagonal and used for the flowers & leaves
• Biggest Wish Photopolymer Stamp set – used Stamparatus for stamping

Today my Sunday Stampers will be gathering and I thought I would share our projects with you.

For our first card I’ve teamed up the Quiet Meadow Bundle from the Annual Catalog with the new Harvest Meadow 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, Cork Specialty Paper (which actually feels like cork) and the Brushed Metallic Cardstock & Adhesive Backed Dots. Use Tear and Tape to secure the ribbon since it’s a little thick.

For our other cards we will be using the Soft Pastels Assortment teamed with the Sale-a-bration items Delicate Dahlias Photopolymer Stamp Set and Beautifully Penned 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

For this card stamp the image with Versa Mark and add chalk dust using a sponge dauber. To get the “chalk dust” scrap the chalk using your Take Your Pick Tool.

Chalk dust mixed with a drop or two of water from a Water Painter was used to colors the flowers.

Same design, image stamped with Magenta Madness ink.  The Delicate Dahlias stamp set is Distinktive – so the less ink on your ink pad the better the image when stamped.

Now that the Expressions in Ink 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper is back in stock, I want to share some clean and simple cards using this paper.

The papers are beautiful and feature the colors:

• Evening Evergreen
• Gold
• Just Jade
• Magenta Madness
• Mint Macaron
• Pale Papaya
• Pear Pizzazz
• Polished Pink
• Shaded Spruce

The first two cards simply feature a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ and 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of the designer paper with a sentiment stamped from the coordinating stamp set from the Artistically Inked Bundle.

The next two cards feature the Picture This Dies, these are a nice way to accent the paper and put together an elegant card.

The card below features the rectangles – all part of one die and I used one of the cut outs on the Pale Papaya card.

Those cut outs sure do come in handy.

When I introduced the new mini catalog last week, I shared a photo of a card made with the Penguin  Place Bundle, today I thought I would explain how to make the card.

Step Panel Card with Front Panel

Measurements for the card:

• Main Panel Card stock – 4¼” x 9¼”, scored at ½” – 1¾” – 3¾” – 5″
• Front Panel Card stock – 3″ x 5″, scored at ½” and 1¾”
• Designer Series Paper Main Panel – 4″ x 4″, 4″ x 1¾”, 4″ x 1″ and Front Panel – 2¾” x 3″

Hints for putting the card together:

• Add Designer Series Paper first, if you want a card stock mat border just cut the card stock 1/8″ longer on both the width and length
• Once you burnish all score marks, dry fit (no adhesive) the designer paper and you will know where the adhesive goes (Tear & Tape)

Here is another card made using the colors Rich Razzleberry and Smoky Slate, along with paper from the Regals Collection 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.  Hand-Penned Bundle provided the dies used for the card.
