Happy Halloween!

Today I thought I would share with you a treat package I’ve made for a few of the kids in the neighborhood. We plan on doing door drop off’s so that the kids can still enjoy some candy and a card on Halloween!  The 3″ x 9″ Printed Gusseted Cello Bags and Black 3/8″ Glittered Organdy Ribbon are perfect for packaging treats!

This product is perfect for any occasion just switch up the designer paper, words and ribbon for any occasion.

Here is an up close picture of the card, it’s a simple top fold (4.25″ x 11″, scored at 5.5″) with both pieces of designer series paper matted with Pumpkin Pie card stock. For the die cut, I attached some card stock to an adhesive sheet so that once the words are die cut, you can peel them off and stick to the paper just like a sticker.

This past weekend while watching some YouTube video’s and checking out Pinterest, I noticed cards made with 1″ wide strips of designer series paper – perfect for some of those scraps you have or with some new paper as well!

It’s simple, here is what you need:

• Basic card base with a front of 4¼” x 5½”
• 2 strips 1″ x 4¼”
• 2 strips 1″ x 3″
• Center for stamping – 2″ x 3 1/8″

Here is the first card I made with the 1″ strips and the Poinsettia Petals bundle.  The Poinsettia’s are two of the smallest layering flowers with a Mini Dimensional between the layers. Elegant Faceted Gems where used in the center.

For this card I decided once designer series paper and stamped piece of Whisper White were added to the card front to run it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Winter Snow Embossing Folder.

Here on a Seaside Spray base I’ve added some wood grain papers and used the Tasteful Touches stamp set for the images and greeting.

For this card, I’ve stamped an image on the sentiment piece on the far left, then added a branch from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty paper and adorned with Champagne Rhinestones.

For this card I’ve backed the four strips with Foam Adhesive Sheet for depth to the card and the sentiment is stamped directly to the card front – for this a did a dry fit with the strips ( before I added the foam adhesive) to stamp the sentiment to make sure it was where I needed it to be. On the strips are adhered, I added Holiday Rhinestones and trees from the Snow Globe Scene dies. Sentiment from Still Scene Stamp set.

For this card, I’ve added the stamped sentiment in the middle backed with pieces of Foam Adhesive Sheet  and a Real Red Sheer Ribbon bow.

All my cards are horizontal but vertical would work as well.

So how was your weekend?  I was lucky enough to have a 4 day weekend due to some vacation days, which gave me time to finish some holiday presents I was making and work on some  cards.

Today I’m sharing two additional cards I made using the Snowflake Wishes Bundle and coordinating products.

First is a card where I ran the designer series paper through the Winter Snow embossing folder and used some of the Tasteful Label Dies, one for stamping the greeting and one to layer it in front of! Snowflakes, a bow and some Iridescent Pearls in the center of a few embossed snowflakes.

Next is a card where I used the die that cuts out a window and instead of a shaker card, I layered the designer paper and embossed Whisper White directly to the card base.  Greeting is stamped directly on the designer paper and a Balmy Blue Glimmer Snowflake and some Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems add just the right amount of sparkle.

I’m really looking forward to making some additional cards with this paper, I even bought an additional package!

For the final card I’m highlighting a piece of the designer series paper with small pearls and the Happy Hanukkah greeting.

In addition to the cards, I made a few packaging options including a box that stores flat until you need to assemble, a holder for a Bath & Body Works Hand Sanitizer, Lip Balm Holder and Milk Box to fill with treats or a small gift!

Today I thought I would feature one of my favorite stamp set with coordinating dies – the To A Wild Rose Photopolymer stamp set and Wild Rose Dies.  The 13 piece photopolymer stamp set is a stunning photorealistic rose to adorn your favorite projects. To a Wild Rose Stamp Set features a regal three-step rose and was inspired by Million Sales Achiever Mary Ellen Byler.

For the first card I stamped all the images on a piece of Whisper White card stock, then matted on Pretty Peacock card stock and Thick Whisper White card stock for the base.

The flower outline stamp is in Pretty Peacock ink, next using Seaside Spray ink I stamped the 2nd image (highlights) then the background image with 2nd generation ink (ink your stamp, stamp on scrap paper, then stamp your good image).  The leaves are Garden Green and Pear Pizzazz ink (this color is 2nd generation as well).   To add a little pizzazz to the card, I die cut two small flowers from the die set and added them to the back of the ‘hello’ banner, which is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the “stepped up” version of the card I decided to first stamp and die cut three flowers and five leaves, then layered them on a 3¾” x 5″ piece of Pretty Peacock card stock that I embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.  The flowers are all added with Stampin’ Dimensionals and leaves are adhered with either liquid glue (for wiggle room) or Stampin’ Dimensionals for depth.

Hard to believe the weekend is over and it’s Monday morning, it’s amazing how fast the weekends go!

Oct20 Designer Series Paper Sale Brochure

Happy Friday, ready to start your weekend, any special plans?

Today’s card is created a little different,  using the rock and roll technique for coloring and the wrong side of the stamp for the image – what – the wrong side of the image!  For something different, I turned the large maple leaf stamp from Gather Together Stamp set over so that the back of the stamp was face side up, stamped the image in a lighter ink color then “rocked & rolled” the edges around a darker ink pad, then stamped the image – just make sure to clean your stamp between image stamping.  Once the three “background” leaf’s were stamped, I then used Blackberry Bliss to stamp the actual image – while they don’t line up perfectly, I like the look.  I’ve added the splatter stamp image in full and second generation stamping to fill in a little of the white space.

The same card stock colors are used to die cut the leaf’s and pumpkin, which are added around a Gold Hoop Embellishment, which I attached with a few rolled up glue dots.  When attaching the leaf’s it’s always nice to add a dimensional to the outside end and glue dot to the inside edge to give depth to the image. Greeting is on a Whisper White banner, matted on Blackberry Bliss and adhered with Stanpin’ Dimensionals. Final touch is a double loop linen thread bow and Glitter Wink of Stella on the die cuts.

Today I have a simple card for you featuring the Queen Anne’s Lace Stamp set and the Buffalo Check background stamp.

With the elegant Queen Anne’s Lace Stamp Set you can celebrate, support, and thank your loved ones with a handcrafted card. Queen Anne’s Lace is loved around the world and features prominently in late summer wildflower bouquets. To create depth and dimension with your flower image using Two-Step Stampin’, stamp the silhouette image in the lightest color of ink. Then stamp the detailed images in darker colors. Then stamp the detailed images in darker colors.

The banner was created using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.  With this punch, create six unique labels. You get two designs in three widths–1″, 3/4″, and 1/2″. Just cut a strip of paper to the desired width (any length), then slide it in, punch, and get a perfect label.

Hint for using background stamps – lay them image side up on your craft surface, ink the image, lay the card stock on top you want to transfer the image to, cover with scrap paper and rub.  When you take the card stock up the image is stamped!

Designer Series Paper sale brochure:  Oct20 Designer Series Paper Sale Brochure

Happy Sunday, hope you are having a good weekend.  This morning a young fellow a few doors away was out on his deck playing his electric guitar, it was some beautiful music to listen to, perfect way to start the day.  I believe he is in a band and need to find out the name – it’s would make a great evening out!

Today I am featuring a card using the Love of Leaves Bundle along with the Plaid Tidings 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper for a Fun Fold Card.

Here is the front of the card – the fold is actually on the bottom and there is a flap holding it closed.  The card base starts with the typical 5½” x 8½””, scored at 4¼” card base, but 1″ is trimmed off one of the sides.  On the bottom portion I’ve embossed the card stock using one of the folders from the Greenery Embossing set for some added details.

I’ve die cut some of the leaves from the bundle and attached them to the front of a 2¾” x 8″ flap of card stock, which has been folded in half at 4″ and adhered to the inside once a 4″ x 5¼” piece of designer series paper was added.  I’ve also embossed the side of the flap front using the long embossing die from the Stitched Leaves Dies (part of the bundle).  Sentiment is on the largest Scalloped Stitched Rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.
