Butterfly Card
Happy Monday, hope you had a nice weekend. We sure needs some signs of spring, I’m over the bitter cold and snow.
Keeping that theme in mind, I decided on a cheerful card with Butterflies. These dies are one of my favorite new products in the Occasions catalog.
Today’s card features the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper, one of the Sale-A-Bration items which is free with a $50 purchase (before tax & shipping). The envelope is also made with paper (Best Year Ever) from the Sale-A-Bration catalog and the Envelope Punch Board since the size of the card is 7 1/2″ x 4″.
I started with a card base of 8″ x 7 1/2″, scored at 4″ and added a piece of the Irresistibly Yours paper that I used a sponge to add Wild Wasabi ink to. The Irresistibly Yours Paper has a clear embossed image on it, the color will wipe off any of the embossed areas. Butterflies embellished with Rhinestone where added. The sentiment is from the Crazy About You stamp set on Wild Wasabi with Black Memento ink. Using a bone folder I added some waves to the paper before adhering to the card.

Happy Saturday, just getting ready to settle down and watch some television this evening. There is always a movie to watch on the Hallmark channel! In our neck of the woods it’s been snowing since about 6am and we have about 6″ of snow. It was a great day to make some vegetable soup, turn on the fireplace and do some stamping.
Today’s card is for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #132. Drop on over to their blog to check out the other great cards.
To get started on the card I chose a piece of Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper and decided on Butterflies as my accents. There is a piece of the Birthday Bash paper matted on Crushed Curry cardstock, backed with dimensionals on a card base of Mossy Meadow. Before I attached the piece to the card base I added a piece of Calypso Coral ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration Best Year Ever Accessories Pack. Next I took a doily and using a sponge dauber and Mossy Meadow ink, added color to the doily to match the card base. Using the Deco Label Framelits and Whisper White, die cut a shape to stamp with my favorite sentiment from the Painted Petals Stamp set. The doily was cut apart and added to the back of the white label. The butterflies are stamped from the Kinda Eclectic & Butterfly Basics stamp sets and punched out with matching punches, pearls add the finishing touch. The entire piece is backed with dimensionals. The sequins were pulled from the Bermuda Bay trim and added with glue dots . A bow in Calypso Coral finishes off the ribbon and was attached with a glue dot.

So how is the weather were you are? We are in a deep freeze, Friday morning with the wind chill we will be around -25°, now that is cold! About the only one who likes the weather tight now is our husky, Bandit. To me its the perfect weather to work on some crafts indoors.
My card today is for the Freshly Made Sketches 174 challenge, brought to us by Cindy L.
For my card, the “any shape” is a flower & leaves that were die cut using the new Bouquet Bigz L Die from the 2015 Occasions catalog. I started with a card base of Daffodil Delight, with layers of Wild Wasabi and Whisper White on top. There is a piece of Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper cut diagionally. The flower is backed by dimensionals and has a vintage Rhinestone in the center. Sentiment is from the Crazy About You stamp set that comes in – photopolymer – clear and wood.

CYCI #57 – Happy Birthday
Happy Tuesday!
Today I thought I would create a card for Can You Case It blog – its a Clean & Quick design. Stop by there blog to see other cool design. Who doesn’t like clean & quick when time is tight!
For my clean & quick card I decided to highlight the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper, a favorite at my Sunday Stamping group this week. The card base in Baked Brown Sugar and I used four different ink pads and sponge daubers to create the background, just dab on the color and wipe off the excess – it does not stick to the embossing on the paper. The “Happy” is from the Hello You thinlits and “Birthday” from Crazy About You stamp set. I like to have a few die cuts laying around in favorite colors, for quick cards or to add that little something something to any card. There are Candy dots in Calypso Coral as embellishments.

Sunday Stamper Cards
Happy Sunday, today my group of Sunday Stampers meet and I’m sharing with you the projects we will be making. Each month we meet and make three projects. We will be using a variety of items from the 2015 Occasions catalog as well as the Irresstibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.
The first card uses Sheltering Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set, Whisper White & Early Espresso card stock, Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi, Early Espresso and VersaMark Ink pads, a sponge cut in quarters, Clear Stampin Emboss Powder, Embossing Buddy & Heat Tool. Cool part of the card is stamping the tree using Early Espresso & Wild Wasabi ink, then stamp with Versamark over what you just stamped (easy to see because the stamps are photopolymer), clear emboss, then use sponge daubers to color the sky and grass.
Second project uses a variety of items including the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit Dies, Celebrate Today Photopolymer Stamp Set and Balloon Framelit Dies ( which can be purchased together as a bundle to save 15%), Whisper White, Night of Navy and Calypso Coral Cardstock, Gold Foil Paper, Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack, Squares Collection Framelits (use 3rd & 5th from center to create window frame in Calypso Coral), Night of Navy & Calypso Coral Ink pads and Sponge Daubers. Use the Big Shot and Magnetic Platform for easy placement to die cut everything. You can use either Fast Fuse or Red Sticky tape to put the bag together.
Final project highlights the fun of using the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. The paper is white and has different embossed images on it which can then be used to create your own colored designed paper. Card base is Crisp Cantaloupe and mat is Mossy Meadow. Stamp images of your choice on the Irresistibly Yours paper and wipe away the excess ink (as it does not stick to the embossed areas of the paper). Sentiment is stamped with Staz-On Black (it doesn’t wipe off). I used a piece of vintage ribbon in Rich Razzleberry as a highlight.

Happy Valentine’s Day! – PCCCS131
Happy Valentine’s Day, any special plans today with your someone special? Today is one of the three days I do not cook (my birthday & anniversary are the other two), we will be having Chinese food from my favorite restaurant tonight for dinner and few Hallmark channel movies to watch – perfect Valentines Day for me with my husband!
Today’s card is for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch challenge.
Thought I would make one last Valentines Day card. The base of the card is Whisper White with a background created by using a Gorgeous Grunge stamped with Versamark, sprinkled with Black Stampin Emboss Powder and heat set. Next are three pieces of cardstock where I used the Large Scallop Edgelit to create some waves. I wanted to do something a little different so I die cut a heart using a piece of paper from the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack, tapped it with Versamark, sprinkled on Clear Stampin Emboss powder and heat set – created a shiny large heart! Attached the large heart with dimensioanls. There are two smaller hearts adhered to a banner from the January Paper Pumpkin stamped with a sentiment from the kit as well.

Clean & Simple Man Card
Welcome to half way through the work week, we’re on the downward slope to the weekend. Weather has been ok the last few days but we’ve seen our highest temps for awhile today – weekend temperatures are expected to be in single digits, hopefully my Sunday Stampers will brave the cold to come stamping – I have some ” cool” projects planned. Stop back Sunday to see those!
Today’s post features a clean & simple card. To me clean and simple means just a few supplies and easy.
Simple layers:
- Card base – Early Espresso
- Mat – from Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack
- Image on Whisper White stamped in card base color – from Guy Greetings 2015 Occasions catalog
- Matted on same color as card base
- Backed with Stampin Dimensionals for depth

PCCCS130 & Canyoucaseit
Well the weekend is almost over, it always seems to go to fast. Today was overcast outside but crafty inside. I was able to create the card for today, a few future posts and two of the items I will be making with my Sunday Stampers this month.
Today’s card actually works for two blogs, each week I like to participate in the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch challenge and when I saw the Can You Case It challenge, I realized the card I made works for both. The sketch and color challenge for both are below. Please take time to visit the blogs for other great designs.
For my card, I used the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack and January Paper Pumpkin for inspiration and ingredients to make the card. I started with card base of Real Red. The first layer, which is backed with dimensionals, is a mat of Basic Black with two different pieces of Stacked with Love paper on top. The seam of the papers is wrapped with Bakers Twine from the January Paper Pumpkin. Next is Basic Black with another piece of Stacked with Love paper, adhered with dimensionals, slightly tilted. In the upper right corner is a heart with banners and sentiment from the January Paper Pumpkin. Both the Calypso Coral bow and Basic Black hearts are from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.

MOJO383
Saturday night and I’m relaxing watching the Valentine movies on the Hallmark channel. Great way to spend the evening with my husband, he enjoys watching the movies with me, we will most likely put the Penguin hockey game on a little later this evening. It’s funny as you watch these movies how you see the same group of actors in a variety of movies from holiday to valentine to general subject, I just love them all. Today we had a delicious breakfast of homemade hash browns, bacon & eggs, followed by homemade meatballs in homemade sauce for hoagies for dinner with a side of fruit salad, it was all rather yummy.
Today’s card is for the MOJO Monday Card Sketch Challenge, this weeks design is by Julee Tilman, stop over to their blog for cards by other crafters.
For my card I decided to use paper from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack on a Whisper White card base. Started with a mat of Blackberry Bliss that I ran through the Big Shot using the Decorative Dots Embossing folder. Next is a piece of the Moonlight DSP, centered is another piece of paper matted on Hello Honey cardstock which is backed with Stampin dimensionals. The butterfly is sitting on a circle that has been stamped with the sun from Kinda Eclectic and fern from Butterfly Basics. You can purchase the Butterfly Dies and Butterfly Basics stamp set as a bundle and save 15%. Sentiment is from Petite Pairs and the banner ends are made with the Hexagon Punch.

Balloon Celebration
Happy Friday and Welcome to the weekend! After work I did a little food shopping, looking forward to a nice homemade breakfast Saturday of hash browns, bacon and eggs, then on to making some meatballs for hoagies for dinner. This weekend my plan is to send some time crafting, I’ve had the flu the last few days and just wasn’t in the mood but I’m getting my mojo back.
I really like how some of the papers of the Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper pack have gold images. For today’s card, I am using one of the pieces with balloons that include some in gold. To highlight the gold balloons I used the banner & bow from the Balloon Framelits and die cut them using Gold Foil sheet. The sentiment “Celebrate” is from the Fabulous Four stamp set, used versamark ink and gold embossing powder. The balloons on either side are from the Balloon Bash stamp set and stamped in Calypso Coral to match the card base. Both the DSP and sentiment are matted on Night of Navy.
Inside, keep in mind you do not always have to have a white inside, think about using a darker color ink that matches the outside of the card. Here I used Night of Navy to stamp the Birthday sentiment.

Tag made with Weekly Deals Feb 3-9
Happy Wednesday, half way through the week today. We are expecting a couple of inches of snow again today/tonight. Seems like a ground hog day around here the past week or so – snow – ice – rain – sun – melt – repeat, sure could do without the ice. ♥
Today I am featuring the new Weekly Deals and a tag made with a couple of the items.
This week there are some pretty cool items on special! The tag below features two of the punches layered together for a great look. Ornate Tag (used with Gold Vellum & Foil Sheets) and Hearts Border punch (added border to the Whisper White) are two of the great tags on this weeks list. Right now the trend in tags is to layer two or three together for a really cool look. The Hamburger Box and Sweetheart punches are also on sale, who doesn’t love punches of all shapes and sizes. All of the other products are listed below including items used to make the tag.

PCCCS129 – Friend is Family
Well it’s Super Bowl Sunday, what are your plans for the game? making any good snacks? We’ll be having some wings and pretzel bites with cheese, yum. It was nice to hear that former Pittsburgh Steeler Jerome Bettis was elected to the 2015 Class of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, an honor he truly deserves!
Today’s card is for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch challenge. Here is this weeks sketch.
For this card my first thought was to use Gorgeous Grunge to create the “splatter” background but since I knew I wanted to use the sentiment from Painted Petals “Friends Become Our Chosen Family” I decided to use one of flower stamps from the same stamp set to create the Daffodil Delight background. Used a piece of Calypso Coral in the middle to divide the page, there are rhinestones on the far right for a little bling. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark Ink and White heat embossed on Bermuda Bay, then die cut using a Circles Collection Framelit with the Big Shot and Magnetic Platform. I wrapped some Bermuda Bay Bakers Twine around my fingers, pulled it off and using glue dots attached to the backside of the sentiment, then used dimensionals to attach to the card. Punched a few banners and flowers to use as accents and there is Bermuda Bay Sequin & Rhinestone in the center of each flower. For the inside of the card, I used the Happy Birthday from Painted Petals, but any sentiment would work.
