Koala Birthday – PCCCS162

So how’s your weekend so far? This morning while getting ready to leave for my Sunday Stampers group, I saw these guys in woods behind my house and just needed to snap a photo, like how they are looking at me as I look at them! Tomorrow I will share with you the cards we made today, make sure to stop back.

Today’s card is for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #162. I’d like to thank their designer team for picking my card as one of the “Design Team Top Picks” for challenge #160. You can check my original post here with that card. Here is the banner for this week:

To create my card I used a Mint Macaron card base, with a mat of Basic Black and paper from the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack. The next two layers are Basic Black and another piece of Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack, backed with dimensionals. There is a piece of vintage Very Vanilla ribbon wrapped around. I used the zig zag stamp from Work of Art for the Black Embossed image. Koala is on Very Vanilla and matted with Mint Macaron. 2015-2017 In-Color Stampin Write Markers were used to color the flower and thin layer of Crystal Effects for shine. The birthday banner is Watermelon Wonder with a stamp from Sprinkles of Life stamp set. Accents include 2015-2017 In-Color Blossom Accent and the silver thread from a piece of Silver Bakers Twine. I just love the pop of color the Watermelon Wonder provides.
