This past weekend while watching some YouTube video’s and checking out Pinterest, I noticed cards made with 1″ wide strips of designer series paper – perfect for some of those scraps you have or with some new paper as well!
It’s simple, here is what you need:
- Basic card base with a front of 4¼” x 5½”
- 2 strips 1″ x 4¼”
- 2 strips 1″ x 3″
- Center for stamping – 2″ x 3 1/8″
Here is the first card I made with the 1″ strips and the Poinsettia Petals bundle. The Poinsettia’s are two of the smallest layering flowers with a Mini Dimensional between the layers. Elegant Faceted Gems where used in the center.
For this card I decided once designer series paper and stamped piece of Whisper White were added to the card front to run it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Winter Snow Embossing Folder.
Here on a Seaside Spray base I’ve added some wood grain papers and used the Tasteful Touches stamp set for the images and greeting.
For this card, I’ve stamped an image on the sentiment piece on the far left, then added a branch from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty paper and adorned with Champagne Rhinestones.
For this card I’ve backed the four strips with Foam Adhesive Sheet for depth to the card and the sentiment is stamped directly to the card front – for this a did a dry fit with the strips ( before I added the foam adhesive) to stamp the sentiment to make sure it was where I needed it to be. On the strips are adhered, I added Holiday Rhinestones and trees from the Snow Globe Scene dies. Sentiment from Still Scene Stamp set.
For this card, I’ve added the stamped sentiment in the middle backed with pieces of Foam Adhesive Sheet and a Real Red Sheer Ribbon bow.
All my cards are horizontal but vertical would work as well.
