Over the last few months three of the houses close to us where sold and new neighbors moved in, I thought why not make a “Welcome” to the Neighborhood card to welcome them and include a set of handmade cards as well. While all three couples are younger than me, they each appreciated the gesture and already have family and friends they plan on using the cards for.
For this card – which has no stamping on the front – I used the Night Before Christmas Designer Series Paper from the new Holiday catalog, I just love this pattern. The card base is Crushed Curry and the mat Old Olive. Welcome, flowers and scrolled leaves are all from the Well Written Dies. There is a piece of Linen Thread wrapped around and tied in a bow, with long ends – something I don’t normally due.
To go with this card, I picked five cards – four birthday and one thinking of you card, packaged the card and envelopes in an Acetate Card box and wrapped with some Stampin’ Up! ribbon for presentation.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope this project has inspired you to try paper crafting. Have a great day – Craft On!
