Ok, so we all buy designer series paper because it’s just so cute, but which side do you use? If you are like me you always have a favorite side and the “other” side goes unloved – well today’s cards features that “other” side from the Country Lane Designer Series Paper. I picked a Crushed Curry and Blackberry Bliss print, both cut 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″. The Blackberry Bliss piece was run through the Big Shot using the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (another step we don’t always thing of – embossing folders are not just for card stock).
For the cards, I started with a Crushed Curry card base 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ for a top folding card and both have a mat of Blackberry Bliss cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″. Before one mat was adhered to the card base, I used the Happy Birthday Thinlits to die cut Happy Birthday. The other Happy Birthday was using Sparkle Glimmer paper, the Big Shot Die Brush helped get out all the little bits.
