Shannon at Stampin Up was thinking about how a handmade, handwritten card in the mailbox seemed to be nearly extinct and wanted to do something about it, she posted on Facebook how she would send birthday cards to any friend who asked and the response was overwhelming. To finish off the envelope for each card she carved the #imbringingbirthdaysback stamp – and now a movement has started, let bring birthday’s back.
Today’s card, of course, is a birthday card, in honor of Shannon! 🙂
This card features one of the cups from the Cups & Kettles Framelits and sentiment from the Suite Sayings Stamp set, both from the Occasions catalog. The card base is Bermuda Bay, with a piece of paper from the Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper Stack, matted on Crushed Curry. Before the piece was adhered to the card base, two pieces of the new Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Stitched Ribbon which is attached with glue dots then the piece adhered to the card base. The cup is die cut using a piece of paper from the same stack and using the Cups & Kettles Framelits. They Say Its Your Birthday was stamped with Basic Black with room for a Melon Mambo heart. This was glued to a Crushed Curry Circle with enough room for some steam waves from the same Framelit set.
