Sponged leaves for FabFri147

By | 05/10/2018

Happy Friday. I’ve had a busy week and not sure about you , but I am looking forward to the weekend and a little extra sleep!

Today’s card is for the FabFri147 challenge, you can check out their blog here.

My cards started with a base of Blackberry Bliss card stock, a former color that’s back as part of the color refresh in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. The mat is also Blackberry Bliss that was run through the Big Shot using the Hexagon Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder and adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals. There is a piece of the Country Lane Designer Series Paper for a banner with a strip of Mango Melody punched with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch. Sentiment is from Country Home stamp set, stamped in Blackberry Bliss on a Whisper White Stitched Shapes Oval Framelit layered on a Old Olive Scallop Oval and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the leaves, I first inked the stamp (from Rooted in Nature Stamp set) in Pineapple Punch, then using sponge daubers, added a mix of Mango Melody, Cajun Craze and Blackberry Bliss before I stamped them on Whisper White, they are die cut using their matching die and added with liquid glue or a Stampin’ Dimesional. Finishing touches include Faceted Gems and a Natures Twine bow, adhered with a Mini Glue Dot.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by, hope you are inspired to try paper crafting and stamping.

So pretty – love those scalloped edges you’ve added – they look beautiful with the gorgeous leaves you’ve created! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!
