Today I thought I would share another technique you can use with Stampin’ Up!’s new Soft Pastel chalks.
Use your Take Your Pick tool and the spatula end to scrap your pastel chalk on a scrap piece of paper or silicone craft sheet to create chalk dust, then use Sponge Daubers to color the stamped image. I have one dedicated dauber for each color – Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy and Poppy Parade.
Here is the basics for the card:
- Use your Stamparatus (stamp positioning tool) to first stamp the image on scrap paper full strength, then 2nd generation on your good Basic White Card stock piece.
- DO NOT remove the stamp from the Stamparatus
- Color your image using Sponge Daubers
- Clean the stamp, ink up with Memento Black and stamp the image over the chalk coloring, this makes the image “pop” off the page!
The first sample uses the Daisy Garden stamp, along with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green card stock.
For this sample I’ve used the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle, along with Highland Heather card stock and ink. Stamp set for greeting, is a new fav, Biggest Wish Photopolymer Stamp set.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope these projects have inspired you to try paper crafting. Should you decide to place an order for Stampin’ Up! products, I would appreciate your business.
