SIP#13 – Ballerina Birthday

By | 09/09/2015

Two days done and two to go in the work week, feels good to be half way thru. Tomorrow is the opening of NFL with Steeler vs. Patriot game around 8:30pm, looking forward to that as well as the Pirates play at 7pm and AJ  Burnett is starting after being out with an injury, looking forward to the evening of Pittsburgh sports! Hopefully both will have a winning outcome! Now on to my card.

Before I go any further I wanted to thank the design team at the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge blog for picking my card from challenge #12 as one of their picks. Justin even left a comment about my card! Happy Birthday Justin (it’s Saturday).   Click here to see my original post with that card.

Today’s card is for the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #13, design banner is below.

SIP-13

To get started on my card, I used the circle from the Sparkly Seasons Bundle to die cut a circle for my snow globe using Blushing Bride card stock. Next using VersaMark, stamped the ballerina on Whisper White using the “window” in the Blushing Bride to center the image. stamped the globe base on a scrap of Whisper White – both using Black Stampin Embossing powder, cutting out the base with paper snips. Once these were heat set, used the falling snowflake stamp, VersaMark and Iridescent Ice Stampin Embossing powder around the the top of the ballerina for a glittery effect. Clearance rack 2013-2015 In-Color sequins add extra sparkle in the snow globe. Ballerina is colored with some Stampin Write Markers. Used dimensions and a piece of window sheet to finish the globe. The Whisper White is adhered to a mat of Basic Black and adhered to the card base. ‘Happy’ is die cut from retired Pistachio Pudding card stock (matches the sequins) using the Hello You Thinlits Die. Birthday is from Crazy about You stamp set. To finish off the card, there are three rhinestones in the upper left corner. This will make a cute card for any little girl or dancer!

This is so pretty. I am reminded of the Music Box with a Dancing Ballerina I received as a child for a birthday. Its also a gift I gave to both of my girls. As a shaker, she is adorable. Thanks for joining us this week at Stamp Ink Paper. Carolyn xx
