Happy Saturday and welcome to the weekend. Today’s card features the stamp set Balloon Celebration and the matching Balloon Bouquet punch. Until May 31st you can purchase the stamp set and punch as a bundle, that pricing will go away June 1st, so get your bundle today.
Have you ever heard of “ROYGBIV” it’s an acronym for the sequence of hues commonly described as making up a rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet … well they were the inspiration for my cards today.
Since it’s Simple Saturday, a one stamp set simple and easy card, ROYGBIV was an easy color selection to use with it, not to mention I just love saying ROYGBIV.
To make the card was simple, I first stamped the bunch of balloon strings in Basic Black, the stamped the six balloons using the colors of the rainbow directly on the Whisper White, which is matted on Basic Black on Whisper White card base. The Happy Birthday was centered carefully when stamped, since this is a photopolymer stamp set that was easy.
Simple Saturday version:
For a Stepped Up Version I stamped the Balloon outline stamp and used the Balloon Bouquet punch to punch them out, some are adhered directly to the card base others are backed with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped on a banner and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals :
