Today I’m sharing the cards made for Challenge 4 of the Online Retreat I’m participating in. Today we have 8 presentations and prizes awarded – let’s hope I win something!
For challenge 4, we were given dimensions to use with card stock or designer paper to create our cards
- 3 pieces – 1½” x 2 ¾”
- 3 pieces for mats – 1 5/8″ x 2 7/8″
For my cards I’m using the Season of Chic Bundle along with the coordinating Texture Chic 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper and Distressed Gold 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper. I even added designer paper to the envelope flaps for interest.
My first card uses a horizontal layout for the rectangles, with the Distressed Gold Paper behind each of the die cuts which represent a different season.
For the card below I decided on a vertical layout using the same dimensions for the rectangles. The Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder provided the perfect background cut just slightly smaller than the card front.
