Well it’s Super Bowl Sunday, what are your plans for the game? making any good snacks? We’ll be having some wings and pretzel bites with cheese, yum. It was nice to hear that former Pittsburgh Steeler Jerome Bettis was elected to the 2015 Class of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, an honor he truly deserves!
Today’s card is for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch challenge. Here is this weeks sketch.
For this card my first thought was to use Gorgeous Grunge to create the “splatter” background but since I knew I wanted to use the sentiment from Painted Petals “Friends Become Our Chosen Family” I decided to use one of flower stamps from the same stamp set to create the Daffodil Delight background. Used a piece of Calypso Coral in the middle to divide the page, there are rhinestones on the far right for a little bling. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark Ink and White heat embossed on Bermuda Bay, then die cut using a Circles Collection Framelit with the Big Shot and Magnetic Platform. I wrapped some Bermuda Bay Bakers Twine around my fingers, pulled it off and using glue dots attached to the backside of the sentiment, then used dimensionals to attach to the card. Punched a few banners and flowers to use as accents and there is Bermuda Bay Sequin & Rhinestone in the center of each flower. For the inside of the card, I used the Happy Birthday from Painted Petals, but any sentiment would work.

Thank you for stopping by, hope you enjoyed the card. Have a great week, Craft On!
Gorgeous card! I love the stamping in the background along with the colors. The baker’s twine in the background is awesome… That is becoming one of my favorite new techniques! Thanks for playing along with the Paper Craft Crew.
Thank you, glad you liked the card.
Great idea, Karen, using those flowers across the background. Love the effect, especially with the loops of Baker’s Twine you’ve added. Thanks so much for joining us at the Paper Craft Crew Challenge this week.
Hi Karen, this is such a lovely card. Seems that you and I are on the same wavelength, LOL!
Whenever I see the “splatter” background I think Gorgeous Grunge and today I spiced it up! Thank you for the kind words.
