Happy Sunday, it’s going to be cold and sunny day, better than yesterday which was cold and rainy. Plan on doing a little more Christmas shopping today for before the birthday party for Jackson today (yesterday I posted his birthday card). Saturday was pretty busy with cleaning, shopping and cooking. Made some homemade spaghetti sauce for the upcoming week and freezer – yummy for the tummy!
The card for today is for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch challenge. I will lucky enough to be voted one of the featured artisans for chanllenge #119. Please take the time to check out their blog and see the designs by their talented team and other crafters like me. Why not post a card yourself? Here is the sketch.
Last night I was checking out Pinterest and noticed a few cards with Lovely as a Tree using vellum and just knew I had to use this for my card. To get started I used Versamark Ink and White Embossing powder to stamp Lovely as a Tree on a piece of Stampin Up Vellum cardstock, turned the vellum over and added color to the back to give the look of grass and sky. On the card base first I used Gorgeous Grunge to add a little background stamping then used the Deco Label Framelits to cut a “window” for the vellum , the Big Shot & Magnetic Platform really made it easy to do. On the inside of the card I used adhesive to add the vellum (embossed side out) and piece of Whisper White card stock behind the window so that the image with coloring can be seen. Using the 2-way glue pen and dazzling diamond glitter added sparkles to the front the card. 2012-2014 In-Color Sequins, Dazzling Diamond glimmer paper and stars punched from the Itty Bitty Accent punch pack help accent the card. Sentiment is from the vintage Good Greeting stamp set in Old Olive on Crushed Curry.
Thank you stopping by, hope you enjoyed the card. Below are supplies used and link to my Stampin Up store for your purchasing pleasure.
Have a great week, Craft On!
