PCCCS110 – Hello Fall!

By | 20/09/2014

Happy Saturday, hopefully your weather will be as nice as it will be here today, plan on spending some time outside since it’s suppose to rain Sunday.  Today I need to decide on the final to cards my Sunday Stampers will be making tomorrow, I have some great sample cards – I will share will you tomorrow the cards I picked. Yesterday my husband and I spent the day with friends – we went to the Rogers Flea Market (had the Amish donuts again, yum), decided to have dinner on our own then get together in the evening to sit outside enjoying the weather and watching the Pirates win in exciting fashion!

It’s time again for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch weekly challenge.  I am honored to be voted as a feature artisan for PCCCS#108, click here for a link to that post. It is always such an honor to be voted and picked a feature artisan – thank you to all that voted for me.  The sketch for this week is below.   Please remember to check out their blog, click on the sketch for a direct link, to view their artisan team designer and other my crafters like me.

Once I saw the sketch I knew what I wanted to do.  The first thing that came to mind was using one of the burlap bags from the September 2014 Paper Pumpkin Kit to create the background for the word bubbles.  I used Old Olive for the card base and used a stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and stamped in Old Olive to create a little interest on the card.  Cut a square from one of the burlap bags and frayed the edges by pulling out a few threads.   Next a used another stamp from Gorgeous Grunge and added subtle color to the burlap.  On a piece of Soft Suede cardstock I heat embossed in Early Espresso using the Hardwood background stamp and used a Word Bubble framelit to die cut. For another Word Bubble used a piece of Color Me Autumn Designer Paper and for the third Word Bubble – greeting from For All Thinks heat embossed on Cajun Craze.  In the sketch there are flowers as accents and for my card I used bows and a gold button.  The bows are using Gold Bakers Twine and other is frays from a piece of burlap ribbon with a Candy Dot in the center.
