Happy Wednesday night, I must say these four day work weeks are nice, already half way through the work week. Looking forward to my haircut Thursday evening, for some reason its always nice to have someone else wash your hair! Best part, will be when I get home and my husband will have made dinner, I see spaghetti and salad in my future.
Today’s post is for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch challenge #108. Please check the Paper Craft Crew blog by clicking the sketch below and you can see the projects by their design team and other crafters like myself. Make sure to scroll down and see the ‘featured artisans’ for PCCCS#106 – first one listed is me! It’s such an honor! Thank you to all who voted for me!
Sketch for this week is below. When I first saw the two squares on the lower left corner I thought of the new Tree Punch from the 2014 Holiday catalog and how cute they would be there.
Here is the card I designed, with a Washi tape strip on the left side. To create the strip, I took a piece of Whisper White and alternated pieces of All is Calm Designer Washi Tape, wrapped around the sides and then adhered to a mat of Lost Lagoon. The focus stamp is Bearing Gifts which has a greeting right under the bear. Since I did not want to use the greeting, I covered the words with a piece of tape, inked up the stamp, pulled the tape off and stamped the image. The bear is colored with different Blendabilities. I used Cherry Cobbler on the hat and Real Red on the greeting to tie them together. The trees on the left are both stamped from the new Tree Punch and for the Glimmer tree, I just trimmed a little off each side for a smaller tree. Both trees are backed with Stampin Dimensionals. Candy Dots accent the top right corner.
Thank you taking the time to stop by today, hope you enjoyed the project. You can order any of the products listed below at any time from my on-line store by clicking on the card above. Have a great day! Craft On!

Such a gorgeous card Karen! Beautiful colouring of the bear and I just love the bling of the silver trees! Thanks for joining us at the Paper Craft Crew this week 🙂
Wow! Absolutely darling… I love how you placed the evergreen trees on the card (I tried doing that on my card but didn’t like it but it is awesome on your card.) The coloring is also great. Thanks so much for playing along with the Paper Craft Crew.
Karen this is such a wonderful Christmas card. I really like the addition of the washi tape along the side panel and the punched out trees. Great focal point along with the beautiful polar bear image. TFS.
Beautiful card, Karen—spot on to the sketch challenge, too. Love the way you’ve used the tree punch as well as that wonderful Bearing Gifts stamp. I have to say that the way you’ve used the Washi tape along the side is ingenious. TFS
