Monday again? Time sure flies on the weekend. It was cold and rainy here perfect for homemade vegetable soup and chicken & dumplings. I’m almost done with all swaps for On Stage which starts November 9th and all the projects needed for the next few Sunday’s of Christmas, I sure had a busy craft weekend!
Today’s card is for the Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge PCC265. With all the Christmas projects I’ve been making I decided on a birthday card using fall colors.
To create my card I started with a Very Vanilla card base. Next on a mat of Very Vanilla I added a piece of the Painted Autumn Designer Series paper, upon which I added a piece of Early Espresso matted with a coordinating piece of Painted Autumn DSP. Mat the DSP on the Early Espresso, decide how you want the front to look, turn the papers over, use a pencil to draw the outline and cut away excess paper – then adhere with liquid glue.
The words are stamped in Early Espresso in scraps of Painted Autumn DSP and punched out with the Classic Label Punch. To finish off the card I added a few paper clips and Calypso Coral bow. Once all this was done, the entire piece was backed with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered to the card base.
