Happy Saturday everyone, hope you have a fun filled weekend planned.
Last weekend we brought home our new puppy Diesel, thought you might like to see a picture of him, he is a 8 week old German Shepard. Here he is with my nephew Jake who was in town visiting his girlfriend and stopped by to drop off some birthday cookies for me and meet the new little guy, aren’t they both rather handsome ? Shout out to Katie, his girl friend, we met her as well.
It’s been a long time since I participated in a design challenge and thought no time like the present to begin again. Today’s card is for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge #228 – Color, use 3 of the 4 colors below – Deep Red, Pink, Plum and Gray/Metallic. For my card I picked Flirty Flamingo, Perfect Plum and Smoky Slate.
For my card I did a watercolor wash background of the three colors, then lightly went over them with clear Wink of Stella for a little sparkle. Then I determined were the die cuts would rest and stamped ‘YOU’ in Smoky Slate. The watercolor paper was then adhered to Smoky Slate, backed with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered to a Flirty Flamingo card base. The flower is adhered with a fine tip glue pen and before I backed the ‘love’ with foam adhesive strips I painted over it with clear Wink of Stella. The bow was the finishing touch. The perfect card for Valentine card or just any time you want to show someone you love them – just like I do to both Jake & Diesel.
