New way to use Embossing Dies

By | 02/11/2019

Today I thought I would share with you how I made the leaves for both cards featured on my blog today.

Included in the Gather Together Bundle are the Gathered Leaves Dies, which includes 3 leaves that not only die cut but they emboss.  You can do quite a lot with these leaves – on my samples below, I took the leaves, gently pressed them into an ink pad and dropped them on matching card stock to die cut. Another technique is to spray card stock with water using a Stampin’ Sprtizer before die cutting and you will achieve a similar effect.

The card below uses both the Gather Together Photopolymer Stamp Set along with the Birch Background stamp set and Itty Bitty Greetings.

For this version of the card, I used the same technique for the leaves, but the Birch Background stamp (on the Soft Suede) was stamped off on scrap paper first, then the Soft Suede for a very subtle image, along with the Country Home Photopolymer Stamp Set. Christmas Rhinestones help finish off the card along with a Cajun Craze Linen bow.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, hope this project has inspired you to try paper crafting. Have a great day – Craft On!
