Happy Pre-Thanksgiving Day! Are you all getting ready for turkey day like I am this evening? I’ll be working on as much prep work as possible to make Thursday run smoothly. I just love watching the Macy’s parade Thursday morning while smelling the turkey in the oven. Tonight we have our traditional pre-Thanksgiving dinner of salad and pizza, something we started some 25+ years ago when we married. I have always cooked on Thanksgiving and enjoy it. We will be having turkey, stuffing, dumplings in gravy, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, buttered carrots, cranberry sauce (out of a can, yummy) and pumpkin pie with tons of whipped cream! I can hardly wait.
Now on to the card for today, it is for the MOJO Monday challenge and its a Tall & Skinny card. I’m really not use to making these types of cards but love the challenge. Sketch is below, don’t forget to check out their blog for other wonderful designs.
For my card, I chose to use the Flashback Designer Series paper as my inspiration. The card base is Basic Black, with a piece of the Flashback DSP angled left to right. Layered on top of that are two other pieces of DSP matted on Pool Party and backed with Stampin Dimensionals. Camera is the Snapshot stamp, colored with Blendabilites markers. Sentiment is from Just Sayin in Hello Honey and punch out using the Decorative Label punch. Added a little bling with some Dazzling Diamond Glitter and a two-way glue pen. This card can be used for any occasion based on the sentiment added on the inside.
