It’s going to be a rainy day here today so I thought a mermaid card was perfect!
Today I have cute card made from the Magical Day Bundle – The Clear or Wood Mount Stamp set with matching Magical Mates Framelits Dies. Send someone a fanciful dragon, a powerful wizard, bubbly seahorse, unique unicorn or a dreaming mermaid!
For my card I started with a piece of Whisper White card stock, Pool Party Ink pad and a Sponge dauber to create the pool of water for the mermaid and seahorses. She was stamped using Basic Black Archival Ink and colored with Watercolor Pencils using a combination of blender pens and my aqua painter to move the color around. Once colored, she was die cut and added to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Card base is Powder Pink and the mat is Fresh Fig card stock. For the greeting, I first inked the stamp in Powder Pink ink then using a new Sponge Dauber added Fresh Fig ink to the bottom portion before stamping. Finishing touch for the card was adding Iridescent Sequins with liquid glue.
