Love It – Live It – Share It, some of my favorite pieces . . .

By | 12/08/2018

This year not only do my husband & I celebrate 30 years of marriage, but Stampin’ Up! celebrates their 30th Anniversary. As part of the Stampin’ Up! celebration there will be November Onstage 2018 in Orlando FL where demonstrators from all over the world will come together for classes, activities, new product premieres and stamping of course!

I’m really looking forward to registering this week so that I can participate in the celebration and see all my demonstrator friends! I was lucky enough to be at the 25th Anniversary celebration, I can only imagine what the 30th will bring.

As part of the celebration Stampin’ Up! looks for demonstrators who would like the opportunity to stamp projects for the OnStage display boards. To do this demonstrators are asked to collect their best work and feature it as a blog post or Pinterest board. I’ve thought about the samples I would use and even asked my husband for this option, below you will see the group of projects we came up with. These include three cards, two 3D projects and one scrapbook page.

First is a wreath created for Christmas in July using Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper, Large Letter Framelits, Layering Circles & Square Framelits, Seasonal Layers Thinlits (Snowflakes) and Faceted Gems (some colored with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend Marker).

The wreath is on a 1.5″ wide cardboard circle, with 4 – 2″ x 12″ pieces of designer paper scored every 1/2″ and accordion folded, decorated with various die cuts and handmade bows. To finish the project I added a piece of designer paper on the back which fills in the center. To see my other Christmas in July projects click here.

Next is a card, bag and gift box trio used for a birthday gift. The Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper teams up with the Stitched Season Framelits to make a beautiful card with a Old Olive Frame raised with Stampin’ Dimensionals so that the Whisper White stamped greeting sits down on the card front. Two 6″x 6″ pieces of designer paper makes the perfect matching gift bag and is super easy to put together. Finally is a tiny box  (used for earrings) with a piece of Petal Pink Metallic Ribbon tied for a bow.

In December 2017 I went on a Christmas in Nashville bus trip with three of my girl friends. We stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Resort, toured Nashville, the RCA Victor Studio, Country Music Hall of Fame and Ryman Auditorium. One of the features of the Ryman tour is the option of having your picture taken on the same stage so many wonderful country singers have sang on, so of course I had to get my picture taken.  I purchased a Black Faux Leather album, photo pocket pages and have been documenting my trip over the last few months. Here is the Ryman page, I wanted to highlight the beautiful windows and the new Graceful Glass 6″ x 6″ paper colored with Stampin’ Blends adds just the right touch to the page. Other stamps used include the Sheet Music background stamp and the Make a Difference Stamp Set. Matted photo on the bottom is adhered with some Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to create a pocket to hold tickets and brochure.

One of my favorite cards to make are shaker cards. I love the movement and all the different type of items you can use to “shake” in your card, with Stampin’ Up! Foam Adhesive strips and window sheets making these types of cards is easy and fun.

My card features the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty paper, Sea of Texture Bundle and the Stamparatus.  What is a Stamparatus you ask – it’s Stampin’ Up!’s must-have tool that helps you perfectly align stamp images, stamp multiples of the same project quickly and precisely and get complete ink coverage. More details on how to put this card together and how I used a template for stamping with Stamparatus, check out my PCC297 blog post here.

My final card is a Double Card. The card starts with a Basic Gray card base and has a slightly smaller Pool Party Z-fold card attached. This card will sit on a desk when opened. The card features the Animal Outing Bundle and coordinating Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper. The card includes all the animals from the stamp set. Happy Birthday is from Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.  My stamp group “Sunday Stampers” made a version of this card in July, check out that blog post here.
