Today we celebrate Memorial Day in the United States of America.
The Memorial Day weekend is about honoring those men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedoms that we have today. We have our flags flying today, hope you have yours out as well.
Here is the card I’ve made honoring those who gave their lives for the freedom we have today.
Next, here are the colors and products used:
- Returning color Blueberry Bushel
- Real Red for flowers
- Rhinestone jewels for flower centers
- Countryside Corners Dies
- Petal Park stamp set & coordinating Petal Park Builder Punch
To create the layers, I first stamped on a 4¼” x 5½” piece of Basic White card stock, then center the dies you want to use (post it notes helped hold them in place) and die cut them out.
Next, largest piece adhered direct to card front and center piece is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Some of the flowers hanging off the edge of the smaller section.
Finally, here is a peek inside the card. I’ve added flowers and leaves, along with using a blending brush to add some blue to the corner.
