Happy Birthday Connor!

By | 08/03/2015

Today my cousin Lisa is having a birthday party for her son Connor, he’s 4 =- – –  were does the time go.  I thought I would share with you the card and matching envelope I made for him.  The envelope is made using the Envelope Punch Board and a piece of the wrapping paper.

I used the gift wrapping paper as the color combination for my card – Night of Navy, Real Red, Hello Honey and Whisper White. The card base is Night of Navy and I used the Large Polka Dot Embossing folder on the Whisper White base since it reminded me of the one stamp. The balloons are embossed with designs from the Celebrate Today stamp set in Silver and I used the Balloon Framelits to cut them out. All the balloons are backed with dimensionals and the Night of Navy balloon has two layers. To make the bakers twine stiff to act as rope, I had some Modge Podge at home and ran the twine between my fingers that were coated with Modge Podge, once they dried I attached with glue dots and trimmed the ends.  The “Happy” is in Night of Navy and die cut from Hello You Thinlits. I tapped VersaMark over the “Happy” and used clear embossing powder and did about three layers.  Birthday is stamped in Night of Navy.
