Today I have a Fun Fold card for you featuring the Gift Wrapped Bundle, which also just happens to be an “Interlocking” card. The front of the card interlocks to close and open.
Basics on putting the card together:
- Card base 5½” x 12″, scored at 2″ – 4″ – 8″ – 10″
- I’ve used Designer Series Paper, but card stock works just as good
- Card stock for the front – 4 ¼” x 5½”, cut into three sections
- On the 5½” side cut two at 1 7/8″ (top & bottom sections)
- Third piece is the remaining piece
- Try to get the pieces as close as possible to the same width
- Mat the three pieces with designer series paper, size depends on card stock size
- Middle section, where stamping goes
- mat 3¾” x 5¼”
- card stock for stamping 3 5/8″ x 5 1/8″
How I put the card together:
- Card base – Fold 4″ and 8″ scores to the center and 2″ and 10″ score to the outside, like a gate fold card
- Adhere the top and bottom card stock sections (piece you cut into thirds) to the left front of card base, remembering to only put adhesive on the portion on part of the card stock
- Fold card closed, then add the middle card stock piece. You may want to dry fit this piece before adding both designer paper or to the card in case to need to cut off a sliver to make card close easily
Now I slowly open the card to show you just how it it looks!
This is a wider look featuring more of the inside of the card. The inside features a piece of Very Vanilla card stock stamped with a greeting from the Christmas Means More stamp set and some bows, matted on Real Red Card stock. I’ve also added stamped & matted card stock to the two inside “side” sections.
